Phew. Damn good game that Wales could and should have won. Nobody's fault but their own (and especially Cuthbert's).

I can cope with that better than being steamrollered because we weren't good enough.

Great game. Congrats to the Bok fans and condolences to the Welsh fans. I think even though they lost, the Welsh should be really proud of this team. Even though they got hit by the injury crisis to end all injury crises, they still went down swinging till the final minute.

Here's a few of my thoughts on the game:
1. It pains me to say this because Gatland's a fellow Waikato man but he's an idiot for sticking with Cuthbert after all those pool games. Injuries or no, you could've put a fucking prop in that 14 jersey and he would've had a better game. How many times did Cuthbert fall flat on his ass because he'd been fended off with absolute ease? There must've been at least 3 times.
2. The Welsh plan to put the SA back three under pressure with kicks worked in the first half but they seemed to be used to it by the second half, so all Wales were doing was gifting SA more and more possession every time they kicked it. And the kicks weren't accurate at all either. Dumb rugby.
3. Barnes refereeing of the breakdown is a joke. It's pretty much just a free for all of players continually going off their feet and him allowing it. It sucks too because I think he'd be a pretty good ref if he sorted that aspect out.

We beat France well last week.

But it took us 60 minutes to look this dominant against them. New Zealand have been all over them since the first minute.

Ah.

There's the Flaky Freddy I know. Was being praised before he played against Ireland, was shit, couldn't tackle, couldn't pass. Now has his kicked blocked down.

I liked in the buildup, Clive Woodward was asked how he rated him and said "just behind Carter and Wilkinson" before going on to say he was the weak link (and targeted because of this) in 2003 and the weak link now.

Savea's try was more Lomu than most Lomu try's I've seen. Jonah ran over weeds like Rory Underwood. Julian Savea swatted a 6"4 15 stone monster.
