Would you forget about his hair already? Banana peel and empty cans have been shown, which are both trash. He's a street hooligan. Them giving him a move where he picks up and tosses a random piece of trash at his opponent, much like how Cody picks up rocks, isn't exactly far fetched.
Ono's tweets have been teasing the next reveal, and they obviously are not for Cammy. Plus the skull on the can is the same skull on Birdie's belt buckle.
Or Balrog fans, or Gief fans.

Yeah, I was just thinking this. So we can assume one of two next grapplers is either Gief or Hugo. I think if it's Hugo then Alex may be a lock because of their rivalry.
I'm honestly sick of Gief. Hoping Hugo stays or we get someone new.
Definitely want Alex in this. I don't consider him to fall too far into the grappler/wrestler class.

Alpha is the game that defined how those characters are and play in SF.

Cammy's cool but I'm not feeling Birdie at all right now. He was on the lower end of popularity as far as Alpha characters go for sure. I also feel like his inclusion diminishes the chance of other grapplers, like Gief, T. Hawk, Hugo or Haggar. Maybe seeing him in motion will change my mind but he's not a very appealing character to me.
Hope this roster is bigger than we're thinking it's gonna be.

When Capcom's SF blog once talked about Adon's addition to SF4, they were basically like "Yeah, this character isn't very popular with fans, but we wanted him in anyways."
And, even though Adon does absolutely nothing for me, I respected Capcom for that decision. Because, THAT is the kind of Capcom that produces games like SF3...filled with things we didn't initially ask for, but now can't get enough of ("pwease put Alex in SF5, Capcom!"). I mean, it's pretty clear that Capcom is taking a LOT of fan feedback when designing SF5...but, it's also good to see them zag when we demand that they zig.
Birdie is just a tiny, tiny a glimpse at that hardheaded Capcom of old. The Capcom that gave us a thong wearing metal man named Urien when fans were probably asking for Guile, Sagat, or Cammy. The Capcom that gave us Adon instead of Alex in SF4...and, as a result, gave us Gamerbee.
I love it.
I can't wait for that Infexious Hugo-like moment...except in SF5 with Birdie. Because we all know he's gonna suck and be super hard to use competitively (he's a Capcom Grappler, after all). But, like Hugo, he's probably going to be SOOO fun to use and SOOO fun to watch.
