Please be true, I'm also upgrading gaming PC in 2023 but I'd rather not be paying 600+ for a PC VR set too. I'm happy to keep it on PS5 if the games are there and this is a biggie, even if none of the other best VR games came to PSVR2 I'd be happy with Alyx + whatever Sony has cooking I think.

I mean I've heard nothing but praise for this damn game ever since it came out, the problem is the incredibly high pay wall standing in front of most people that would want to play it.
You gotta have a good high end pc and a good enough VR, which when it came out meant you had to drop at least over 2000 dollars to play it.

I always suspected that's going to happen, but "Sony has bought the rights"? Somehow I doubt it involved any notable sums of money changing hands (contracts signed, yes), as if there was fierce competition on the console VR market. Maybe they had a fierce bidding war with Facebook for the exclusive rights, what do we know? (No, that's dumb!)

This should absolutely happen. It would be huge for both PSVR and Valve. It's the best VR game to date, by far. The more people that get to experience it, the better.
Put it out and get a sequel out too.
PCVR is still a relatively small market. Porting this is a service to gamers, and doesn't belong in the same conversation of "everlasting remakes remasters and ports." It's a masterpiece that's been too siloed since it came out

More people have probably played HL:A on oculus hardware than the Index, over 55% of the VR devices on steam are Oculus devices.
