Barring that, Fire/Dark with good speed and an ability that gives it STAB on Fighting-type moves would be nice fulfilment of the "heel" concept in wrestling

There were people from NA with full retail copies of ORAS days before the game released. I think one of them posted on Instagram. Also, it was also speculated that the delay was also caused by the constant leaking of details and actual Pokemon by people involved in Nintendo Iberia. Even though I don't think how this would be solved by delaying the game a week, I'll give you that.
Maybe something that turns Fighting moves into Dark moves a la Pixilate? Or maybe it has a move like Flying Press where the damage is both Fighting and Dark.

XY had leaks in Canada too from what I remember. I have no idea why only Europe got punished.
Ooo, I love your idea for a heel move that's Dark/Fighting, just like how Flying Press is Fighting/Flying.
They looked at our national animal, looked at Bibarel, and said "we've punished them enough."
That's actually the most believable part of the rumor considering this E3 video. It's kind of an off comment but it's a bit weird.

What's the point in saying this Mashadow has a unique combination? What kind of leak is that? Lol spill it if you're leaking stuff or don't mention it at all because anybody can say that.
He doesn't design all the Pokemon. They have staff to make all the Pokemon.

It's not even a rumor anymore. She confirmed it at E3. There should be no speculation. There will be no gym leaders in this game.
Saying "Island challenges" doesn't confirm that there won't be any gyms.

To me it is. We've played Pokemon for 20 years and you become a Pokemon champion by beating gym leaders. All she had to say was "you beat gym leaders and collect badges". She was being sincere and honest by saying Island challenges which doesn't imply gym leaders.
Also, when you look at the map, it's hard to even point out where 8 gym leaders could be. I've seen GameXplain and many other Pokemon Youtubers have a difficult time to find 8 gyms. It all makes sense now.

The annoying thing about these leaks is that they might take a while yet before they are confirmed/debunked. We could be looking at up to a month.

Could be that Marshadow will be shown at some point but they don't tell us the typing.
Seems like whoever got their hands on this info only got glimpses at something they shouldn't have seen. Would explain why there's no names. It could be someone who saw the various press releases given out to whoever runs the official channels or the ESRB/PEGI-type people who have to rate them.
Or it could be fake, who knows. That starter concept art is pretty convincing because it's not just the Sugimori stock art, which is usually what fakemon makers do. There was time and thought put into those. We'll know in a monthly reveal trailer in a few months regardless.
Also re: the Europe delay, wasn't it because a major retail chain saw people getting it in Canada and just went "fuck it, people want this" like a week in advance? I seem to remember something like that.

I'm pretty sure we (Canada) only got it a day or two early, I remember one guy saying he got it at Target in Guelph the day before release, so I raced there to see if I could get it too, cuz I was too impatient to wait a day lol.

If the leak is legit, it could be 2nd hand info they're relaying. Or, it could be that the truth would sound so ridiculous that it might otherwise make the rumor sound fake. I doubt I'd have believed rumors in 2013 that said stuff about non permanent evolutions that get activated in battle by holding a rock.
Otherwise, it's just fake rumor vagueness as usual.

See, normally if you go singles against another Pokemon you got 50/50 chance of winning. But I've got perfect IVs and I'm not normal. So you got 25 percent chance at best at beat me. Then you add Rowlet to the mix, your chances of winning harshly fell.
See the rotation battle at the VG World Championships, you got a 33 1/3 chance of winning, but I, I got a 66 1/3 chance of winning, because Rowlet knows he's not very effective against me and he's not even gonna try.
So Popplio, you take your 33 1/3 chance, minus my 25 percent chance, and you got an 8 1/3 chance of winning at the VG World Championships. But then you take my 75% chance, if we was to go singles, and then add my 66 2/3 percents, I got a 141 2/3 chance of winning at the VG World Championships.

Can't express how much much I love Robin Hoot and Tiger Mask. Litten goes from meh to top tier to me, and Rowlet's evo is better than anything I ever hoped for. I'm a little bummed Popplio's evo isn't a full blown clown but a good friend of mine really likes it so I'd be happy for them if it's real.

Agreed, if Game Freak are doing away with gym then that will mean that Dark type officially never got a gym.
Honestly it just seems like that that they are taking the gen 5 approach and making the gym leader take on the role as Island leader, which could be a Alola naming for Gym Leader.
Because the Pokémon Company fucking hates Europe.

Thinking on it, if that truly is Litten's evo then Fire/Dark could be a possibility since Tiger Mask, while being a hero in the manga/anime, actually started out as a heel wrestler and then redeemed himself.
A good hidden ability or somekind of move that links it to Fighting could do the trick and be thematically correct.
It could also be the ultimate troll move from GF: "They'll scream in pain at the thought of another Fire/Fighting the moment they see this *evil laugh*".
That other leak that was posted also mentioned it having some sort of Litten followers, that could be a nice reference to the anime character who was a benefactor towards his little orphan fans (King from Tekken who was also inspired by Tiger Mask has this theme going for him aswell).
That is, if any of this is actually real.
And yes, i really like Tiger Mask.

Yeh, maybe island leader is like a gym leader? Then there would be like 4 gyms. It'll be interesting to see what they've come up with.
Combine that with the usual coverage moves like Thunderpunch, EarthQuake and the like and he would be solid.
