When Splatoon 3 comes out I'll be forced to pay for NSO. Otherwise its pretty useless. N64 is an improvement but the way they've run the service is a disaster so far.

I can't believe we are in 2021 and Nintendo still doesn't have a good online service. It's just incredible.

RetroArch just came out for Steam. Steam Deck comes out next year. Nintendo was too late. As much as I love my Switch and its exclusives, these online extras suck ass and always will.

I just paid my $20 yearly charge last weekend. It's worth that just to be able to play Mario Kart with friends online and it lets me play Mario Bros, Clu Clu Land and Panel de Pon with friends, too. I wonder if I can get grandfathered into the new plan if they introduce one. Hopefully the N64 games include the N64 F-Zero. That would be cool.

The LLE plugins for N64 PC emulators completely destroy any official Nintendo emulator.

No pretty sure it was only 20fps. The original N64 version was 15 fps though IIRC.

Original N64 version is 20fps (US) and 17fps (PAL)
