I feel like we are well beyond the point that someone from Microsoft / Infinity Ward / Activision should have made a comment on this...
How can someone who loves the flash be do wrong?![]()
I thought Xbox One was going to be "THE ONE" platform for all of my entertainment needs. Clearly not though if I want to play 1080p games
Temba, his arms wide.
Most gamers will never even know unless they see a discrepancy between the two versions on metacritic. Ignorance is bliss.
Barry Allen fan.
Yes, kudos to them for not doing something they never should have done anyway. I really respect them now.If true, then kudos to Infinity Ward for not gimping the ps4 version for the sake of parity.

Was the gameplay footage taken down? That video was just them talking about the bunch of game modes while scrolling through the UI...

I suppose it's for people like that one guy on Twitter, and I'm sure there are others like him who have stuck with the XB1 due to brand loyalty.
I feel like if this is wrong GAF is gonna lose some credibility
Gosh people...do you really expect Albert to count all the pixels?
Speaking from personal experience you should never get too attached to a brand. Always follow the games. You've missed out on some great ps3 games and I've heard that the ps4 controller has been improved considerably. Obviously not everyone has enough money to own every system, but if you can afford to and you genuinely love videogames never stick to just one system, when you do that's when you start to accept compromises that you shouldn't except from these manufactures just to justify your purchase.
What games you getting for X1?

I don't believe this rumor.
Major Nelson, his eyes closed.
Penello, when the walls fell.
Kaz and Cerny at Tanagra.
Kaz and Cerny on the ocean.
This combined with Penello's complete non-response actually has me believing this more than anything else. I'm not getting either console at launch, but if it's actually true that they can't get goddamn CoD (which isn't a fantastic looking game graphically) running at 1080p on X1 but they can on PS4, that's a reallllll bad look for MS. Not in terms necessarily of this game specifically, but in what the fuck is going on over there and with the hardware.

What is he trying to say!? Does he really enjoy Nickelback!? WHAT IS GOING ON.
It takes time to walk to the engineers department. It's a really big campus.

Nah. Unless you think that the people on GAF have been right every single time since it's inception and pitchforks were never raised without knowing all the details.
Since we have literally nothing to go on besides a rumor that Famous himself is struggling to support and is claiming is super thin, I doubt they are worried. Had there been some kind of videos or physical evidence they would be trying to do damage control.
I asked how the new IGN gane looks bad....not your personal opinion on the game itself.Well you were asking how COD looks bad...
First time seeing this.
Jesus Christ, it looks awful.

Oh, I meant game wise. 1 console dominating isn't bad when it comes to games. I have no idea how the forums were back then.

Now, I don't know if that shows how poor the XB1's internals are or merely how shit IW is lol
Funny! l'm not sure either yet.-__-
Man these threads crack me up. Well done on the Nickelback gif.
I'm not going to convince anyone differently, but it's funny how people interpret the tweet as confirmation.
First - I don't know the resolution. I don't have more sophisticated tools than anyone else. I watch the game on a nice TV with the XBO set to 1080p for every game, there is no way for me to know what's native vs. upscaled unless I'm told.
Second, if I did know, it wouldn't be my place to say anything.
If the Ryse footage last week showed me anything, it's that you get a much more interesting discussion when you're looking at real footage.
So now I've seen the PS4 footage, and I've seen XBO running live. To me, they both look great.
The resolution will be what it will be. It will be known when Activision wants it to be known. The only thing I was curious about was if the games look different, and based on the assets available to me, they don't.
So I think when XBO footage comes out, and people can compare resolutions, effects, framerate and other things the debate will be more interesting.
All that doesn't come across in Twitter-sized bites.

How long till IGN updates their media player with the new quality settings?
