From Ryan Coogler—director of "Black Panther" and "Creed"—and starring Michael B. Jordan comes a new vision of fear: "Sinners."

Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers (Jordan) return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.

"You keep dancing with the devil, one day he's gonna follow you home."

Written and directed by Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Coogler, "Sinners" stars Jordan in a dual role, joined by Oscar nominee Hailee Steinfeld, Jack O'Connell, Wunmi Mosaku , Jayme Lawson, Omar Miller, Miles Caton, and Delroy Lindo.

The film is produced by Zinzi Coogler, Sev Ohanian and Ryan Coogler. The executive producers are Ludwig Göransson, Will Greenfield and Rebecca Cho.

Coogler's behind-the-camera artisans include his "Black Panther" franchise collaborators: director of photography Autumn Durald Arkapaw, Oscar-winning production designer Hannah Beachler, editor Michael P. Shawver, Oscar-winning composer Ludwig Göransson, and Oscar-winning costume designer Ruth E. Carter.

Warner Bros. Pictures presents A Proximity Media Production: "Sinners." The film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, in theaters only nationwide on April 18, 2025, and internationally beginning on 16 April 2025.

It looked cool from the trailer. It's probably still early days for that review score so it might settle down once more come out. But it's a good sign.

Slick trailer I saw on TV. Looks like a good movie. I don't follow Michael b Jordan movies but all I remember is he was the best part of black panther. Guy looks like a beast.

The Rotten Tomatoes critics' score is less important than the average rating of 8.9/10, which better reflects the quality consensus.

meh... looks ok.

I'm very skeptical of that websites reviews - have been burned by hype form there many a time.

Easy solution.

Don't fall for any hype and go into everything with no expectations, and you will more often be pleasantly surprised than thoroughly disappointed.

This looks like a remake of From Dusk Till Dawn. Even the trailer and poster has that feel.

What type of monsters are we talking about? Ghosts or more physical stuff?

Only saw the first trailer and it wasn't clear.

Looks great. Very few movies have interested me for years at this stage. Actually hyped to see this.

Also: I thought GAF was supposed to be a hive of racist scum and villainy?! What gives with liking a film with "colored fellas" in it?!

I'm going to go into it with the mind that I'm watching an action movie. Looks great but I'm not expecting much in terms of horror. I guess I'll get my fix with Bring Her Back in May.

Most reasonable people here dislike woke stuff.
A movie having a predominantly black cast doesn't make it woke.

I was mildly intrigued by the plot in the write up, but seeing that it's written and directed by the same guy that made black panther has put me off.

Eh, I think most directors will struggle making something great when they have to work with MCU slop.
Creed 1 was solid.

I'm booked in to watch it in 1.43:1 IMAX dual gt laser, unfortunately the cinema I am close to didn't pay for the 70mm reel.

It should still look excellent though!
