Production starting soon and Ryan has posted the first BTS on his twitter showing off the mask.

Please don't screw this up, Fox.

Have they mentioned if this will have the stench of Wolverine Origins attached to it? Has that movie already been written out of the Fox Xmen universe? because it was so bad.

Are the voices speaking to him yet?

The old script made fun of that movie pretty good. They're ready to turn their back on it.

So excited for this.

I'm not really a RR fan, BUT I think he will be great in this as he seems to really like the character.

Man, this feels like the first movie where won't need to see the hero take off his mask 20 thousand times during the course of the running time.

I'm sure Wade will still retain his charming good looks.

I think he'll do a fantastic job. He loves and understands the character and it's great to see he's trying so hard to make this work. Better having him behind the mask than anyone else right now.

Yes, Days of Future Past retconned Wolverine Origins and The Last Stand out of the X-Men movie canon. X-Men 1 and 2 still happened in broad strokes.

I'm excited this is actually happening.

Are the people who were involved in the leaked test footage involved in the film? If so, I'm even more excited.

Bigger Ryan Reynolds fan than Deadpool...pretty stoked he's getting to make his passion project. Has it been confirmed if it's Rated R or no???

Why is this the case? Because the roster in the last scene was similar? Or is there something I'm missing?

The way I see it, the current timeline has to get us to that last scene, and that's about it as far as continuity goes.

Cool. Glad it's faithful to the comics, it looks good.

There's no way they're using that script. It has a lot of hard R shit and this is pg13.
They probably wouldn't use it because it was plastered over the internet anyway. But it does show that Fox realised what a travesty Deadpool in Origins was.

That, and Singer isn't going to wipe his own films out of continuity. There was a very clear intention on his and Kinberg's part to erase X3 and the first Wolverine.

Technically you're right, it's a new timeline, so in that sense all of the previous movies (sans First Class and the 70s segments of DOFP) have been been wiped out. But given what we see in DOFP's ending, it's safe to assume that something similar to the events of X1 and 2 still ended up happening in the new future. It very conveniently keeps the movies Singer did while getting rid of the ones he didn't.

Nice. It actually makes me excited they are going with a look for the mask more faithful to the comics than re-imagining for film.

Wonder if he'll also get white eyes somehow of if the white in the picture is just from the head the mask is on.

Eh, never saw the need for the R rating, honestly. That proof of concept qualified as PG-13, and it was just about perfect.

I don't really think Deadpool needs an R-Rating. You can get away with enough in PG-13 that I think Deadpool would be fine.

Necessary? Is it necessary for me to drink my own urine? No! But I do it anyway cuz it's sterile and I like the taste.

I just really want more R rated action movies
