Yeah I thought that was weird too. Not only that, but last episode Tuxedo Kamen kind of woke up Usagi to come head over to where Mako was being attacked. So Usagi didn't seem to think it was weird that he came to her and well, yeah.... Continuity issues already... Still a good ep and animation is doing a lot better, but after seeing the blu ray animation, some touch ups are still needed, of course, just not as bad.


*looks back a couple pages* Wait, are we still using spoilers to describe the latest episode, or only for stuff that is later to come?

To me this was the worst episode so far and thought the animation was really bad, specially the fight agaisnt Zoisite. *sigh*

So I assume in the manga Zoistise dies from Moon Healing Escalation instead of being saved by Beryl?

Normally the cheap look of this show doesn't bother me, but this episode it was especially distracting. So many close and off focus shots, made it feel like I was watching a poorly directed B-movie where people don't actually know how to film... but this is an anime where you intentionally choose to draw that way. If they're trying to make Sailor Moon Crystal feel like a cheap b-movie then mission accomplished...

the relationship turmoil feels really dry and fake because the show isn't really showing how Usagi and everyone else connects or disconnects and relates to each other in any kind of sustained and detailed way

Is it just my imagination or Usagi a lot more open about her relationship needs in this version? Maybe that's from the manga too.

Yeah, their relationship develops more straightforward in the manga. The back and forth between the two got IMO really tiring in the original anime after a while

The anime seemed to have issues with their relationship, the nadir probably was that shit pulled in Sailor Moon R.

Going from Crystal back to the original Sailor Moon is horribly jarring, fights being bouts recycled animation attacks, Usagi having any character development flushed away every week, Rei being incredibly annoying, lots of go nowhere episodes

I just wish Crystal's animation/art was better

The character development is there, the show format means things get slower or more exaggerated, more on that later.

I really need to rewatch PGSM too... It was cheesy, but fun cheesy! Plus back then I could only find raws so it doesn't help looking up translations every episodes (even though it was pretty easy to understand most of it).

Funny how Crunchyroll has the most functional(re: least convoluted) interface of all three film services I've tried on PS3.

My friend has Netflix and shares it with me. Don't like the lack of organization at all.

Crunchyroll seems to be the most streamlined. You have a queue, a-z, popular, by genre, etc.

Maybe it's easy since it's just anime. I set up a week trial for Hulu Plus to finish Samurai Champloo since Netflix pulled it. It's insane how much anime it has. Yeesh. Crunchyroll has a few shows it doesn't but HP must have like thirty times as much.

At least CR has no ads, though.

Yeah I get Hulu crashes a lot (and I'm on Plus!) I wonder what's up with that though? (Seems to always happen a few minutes before the end of Colbert...) Is it something on their server's end or my end? I never have any CR problems, though.
