I'm now the proud resident of an NFL-free city.

American football fans needs to learn from e-sports watchers, and just root for the team with the coolest logo.
And the least fucked-up management.

That's why I'm an Echo Fox fan :)

Not to mention, Echo Fox is really taking off huge. They signed some huge names to the team already this year for fighting games.

Both instances of this feature teams in two different conferences, so they only play each other once every 4 years and they switch home team designation

The Giants and Jets have done it for years. In the old stadium, the Jets paid rent to the Giants. They went co-op on the new stadium.

Yeah, that logo is disgusting. It's so plain, boring, and drab. Not to mention that it's a blatant rip off.

Just an absolutely abysmal, shit tier, logo.

In 2017 you can't rip teams off. But in the past, a lot of football teams.

Why are my Giants classically known as the New York FOOTBALL Giants? To distinguish from the older, more established, baseball Giants they ripped off :)

New York Mets -> New York Jets

Boston Braves -> Boston Braves -> Boston Redskins -> Washington Redskins ... -_-

Chicago Cubs -> Chicago Bears

St Louis Cardinals -> St Louis Cardinals -> Arizona Cardinals

Pittsburgh Pirates -> Pittsburgh Pirates -> Pittsburgh Steelers

EDIT: I think the Cardinals were in Chicago at one point so that might be iffy.

Terrible. LA can barely support 1 team let alone two. Too bad for the fans in San Diego. Surprisingly SD has had an pro football team just about as long as any city.

I like the logo but will miss the powder blue.

E-sports should learn from pro leagues and have teams represent cities.

In any other situation, it would've been a good logo, but it borrows too heavily on the Dodgers + Lightning. Just damn.

I hope those Charger fans become Bucs fans. The Bucs seem to have a nice following in California when they went to play the Chargers this past season.

San Diego Charger lifer checking in. Goodbye to an era. Now I have no one to root for in the NFL. There's absolutely no chance I'm rooting for an LA team. And I think I speak for all sports fans from San Diego. It shouldn't have to be said, but If you're not from here then you can't possibly fathom the hate we have for LA sports teams (and SF teams, for good measure).

That said, I've soured on rooting for the (pro) sport with the revelation of CTE. The tragic loss of our local legend Junior Seau makes that hit home pretty hard.

I'm still gaga for college football so at least the season isn't a total void.

It's 50 years old and way behind almost every other NFL stadium in standards. Probably the only stadium in worse shape is the Oakland Coliseum.

Well it's a shame a city like San Diego can't somehow support a football stadium. Its the second biggest city in CA and 8th in the US. I find it an utterly bizarre concept to move.

For what it's worth, San Diego's metro area is actually 17th - you have to count the suburbs along with the city.

Unless you consider Jacksonville, Florida > Miami, Florida and Oklahoma City > Atlanta.

Sorry Chargers fans =/ They really should force them to leave the name and team history behind. If it isn't San Diego, it isn't the Chargers.

Bad move for the team to go to a city where they're clearly going to be the B franchise, and essentially guests in someone else's stadium. It also makes the NFL look incredibly weak.

I'd be damned if they move my local sports team and I suspect in the next few weeks Die Hard charger fans will come out shedding their light on this matter...

Week 17 was like 90% Chiefs fans. SD had become the perfect weekend trip for visiting fans in the winter.

All the more reason for a rich owner to fund his own stadium.

Public money shouldn't go to support rich owners. I'll miss the team, but am proud of the city for saying no.

Living here, so far not one die hard chargers fan Is going to support an LA team. We have a really bad taste in our mouth with Raiders fans and I think the thought of supporting a city that supports the Raiders is out of the question.

also going to games is depressing here because half the stadium is filled with the other teams fans, cause every Chud here Is an out of towner from a cold city who doesn't wanna live in their city but wanna be annoying in our bars and start fights. (Sorry I'm just sad and need a way to vent)

San Diego is a military city with people from everywhere. No surprise they every team has a ton of fans in that stadium.
