More countries fighting terrorism is good. But hopefully this alliance won't bring problems in the future.
More like a new anti-Shia alliance, I don't trust anything that Saudi Arabia is involved with.
Those people are... what's the word for it...
Stupid. It's all just one long proxy war that we need to learn to not get involved in because the world isn't black and white and we can't keep acting like it is.
And yeah, this is just what the world needed in that region. Another ethno-religious hegemony ruled by a series of autocracies.
Honestly, wouldn't any coalition in the region primarily be seen as a "Sunni" led coalition considering the demographics?
They're only five Muslim majority countries where Shiites outnumber Sunnis (Iran, Iraq, Azerbaijan, Bahrain & Lebanon), two of which (Bahrain & Lebanon) are part of the coalition.

Dodn't the Saudis pretty much invent and spread the ISIS ideology?
Pakistan's Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry was quoted in the Dawn newspaper as saying he was surprised by the announcement and had asked the Pakistani ambassador in Riyadh for clarification.
The country's foreign office said in a statement later on Wednesday that it was "awaiting further details to decide the extent of its participation in different activities of the alliance" before making a decision on whether to join.
In Indonesia, the foreign ministry said it too had not yet decided whether to join.
"The government is still observing and waiting to see the modalities of the military coalition formed by Saudi Arabia," foreign ministry spokesman Arrmanatha Nasir told The Jakarta Post.
Malaysian Defence Minister Hishammuddin Hussein went further - expressing support for the coalition but ruling out any military involvement from Kuala Lumpur.
"The Saudi initiative does not involve any military commitment, but an understanding that we will combat militancy," he said.
Dodn't the Saudis pretty much invent and spread the ISIS ideology?
So it seems that Saudi Arabia decided to include certain countries in their "coalition" without their approval or consent:

Pretty bush league, but then again I'm not surprised SA would do something like this.
In contrast the Foreign Ministry was adamant they had no memo or phone call mentioning this coalition. They added they had :"No knowledge whatsoever of the issue of forming an Islamic anti-terror coalition."
Yeah, Lebanon, Pakistan, Malaysia, and Indonesia all say this is the first they heard of this. Saudi pulling a fast one. Trying to sanitize its image abroad maybe, I don't know. Not going to work at all.Lebanon also says it's the first they've heard of it.
Lebanon also says it's the first they've heard of it.
