It was taking so long so I contacted Seagate via email and got this reply.

Dept.04-84320 is not a promotion our company handles. Seagate does use
various rebate companies. This promotion is handled by a rebate company called
Parago, who may be contacted at 1-800-753-9823. Sorry for any confusion.

I called the number and got my rebate check last week

OK, what info did you need to know when you called that company?

I'm trying to find the original pdf that i saved for the rebate, but I'm not having any luck so far. I'm also trying to find the scan I made of the invoice and UPC.

i just got my rebate check yesterday..

i never called to complain or anything.. so you should be getting your soon as well.

i might have the rebate file on my other computer.. ill check it out when i have a chance (later today)

Frys has a 200 gig for 100 bucks in stores this week. No rebate. There are better deals if you wait. I got a 250 gig maxtor for 100 without a rebate.

I checked Seagate's site, and it says the rebate was :
Status Detail: Invalid.
Invalid Reason: Invalidated by Seagate

I got a 200 gig Western Digital external drive for $100 last week. It was $160 with two $30 rebates. Unfortunately I think the offer ended on the 1st.

i got a 120 gig and a 200 gig...

the 200 gig is completely full....because....bittorrent spoiled me.

and that 120 gig is nearing fullness...

when I read these posts about "i got a 200 gig drive that hasnt even been used yet" i think....DO YALL NOT KNOW HOW TO USE TEH INTERNET?!

oh and this is a good deal.....it seems when it comes to harddrives....Seagate > all
