ahhh, the show that makes white women with septum rings, tats and wacky personality hair in their mid 30s feel intelligent.

Honestly couldn't get past season 2 of this cartoon, it can have its moments but it's more clip worthy than watching a whole episode, similar to what family guy has become (became post season 4).

Could never get into this show. Always felt like it was trying too hard.
i mean it basically had 1 good season, which is the first. all the other seasons have good episodes here and there, but overall its a bad show. but that first season was something special imo.

I stayed away from the show for the longest time ("Popular things? HA! Not for me!!") but finally relented. I recall the show hit its stride with S2 and 3. The last episode which really impressed me was the train one, must have been S4? I think I made it through S5 and then called it a day. Maybe I will pick it back up when I tire of other things to watch...

What's funny is that that guy had never even seen Rick and Morty before, this was pure satire. But it did more damage than probably any actual fan 😂

I'll probably watch this later. I really liked the first few seasons of the show. I remember the latest season having a few good episodes too, but for the life of me I can't remember a thing about them.

I don't keep up with the show and only really started watching after a few seasons were already out. I generally enjoy it but haven't finished season 7.

I couldn't finish the first episode of the first season.

I was very put off by the pilot episode. They went way too far with Rick's belching. They did dial it back afterwards though so if that was the problem it might be worth another chance.

I honestly don't remember. I picked it up for a fiver during an iTunes sales and was pretty excited to see what all the fuss was about and quickly categorized it as not for me.

Suicide spaghetti was good, Evil Morty episode was good, Kuato episode was just okay but extra funny if you really like Total Recall, Season Finale was exceptional with really good writing and character development.

That's surprising to hear. It has a lot of similarities to Futurama.

Perhaps, though, not the similarities that make you fond of Futurama.

Science fiction is a tough one for me as I rarely like art produced around the theming. And like a lot of us who grew up with the Simpsons and watched the Zombie Simpsons out of habit, Futurama felt like a return to form of those first ~9 seasons of the Simpsons. Futurama getting fucked over in time slotting also made it a loveable underdog that was cancelled before the creators ran out of ideas...and then the movies happened. Still haven't watched the Hulu seasons.

And yet we will get 20 seasons of this shit show. I did enjoy the first few seasons. I stopped watching a while ago and with Justin Roiland getting cancelled, I definitely do not want to support it anymore.

Rick Potion #9 made me fall in love with the show.

The highs are VERY high and the lows hit rock bottom, but I do enjoy watching it.

The save scumming sequence, simple ricks wafers, spaghetti, total rickall are some of my favorites, there are a lot more really well done.

Season 1 Mr. Meeseeks was amazing but the Season 3 episode with Pickle Rick made me really appreciate the writing teams output. Dan Harmon is such a self hating sack of filth and depravity and I respect that he owns it and openly bleeds for everyone with his creative work.

didnt he beat his wife up and lock her in the house or something along those lines? I would say that is pretty reasonable to cut his ass for (if tru)

I thought the first episode of S08 was fantastic -- but I also think every season has been great. Yeah, I think seasons 1-3 were the best seasons, but for me, it's maintained a high enough level of quality to stay in my list of favorites.

Episode 1 of season 8 was great. I always love when they create a bizarro alternate world that has small change to make you realize it's fake.

I still watch it each season as though it isn't as great as earlier seasons, there are at least 2 or 3 episodes each year that are really cleverly written.

I thought the premiere was mid. It just wasn't that funny and neither was it profound. Not bad, just mid.

The car battery episode from s2 is one of the best pieces of entertainment media of all time but I can't bring myself to keep going now.

I'm still on S2. Is there a clear drop in quality at some point?

In my personal opinion, S1 and S2 were almost all great episodes. S3 was around 80% good. S4-S7 was about 70% good. There are still some amazing episodes in each season, but also more meh episodes too. The show is still overall "good" in every season, but doesn't quite live up to the first two seasons.
