I've been playing through Second Sight recently, and I'm impressed. The game feels a bit clunky when you're learning all your abilities and trying to understand the aiming controls, but the amount of weaponry and psychic abilities is impressive. The stealth isn't as bad as I thought it would be, and the gunplay is fast and fun. And posessing one enemy to take down his comrades is simply AWESOME.
However, there are two little innovations in the game that are fantastic. The first is third-person sniping mode. Sure, it makes the actual sniping a bit too easy, but man does that little scope in the lower-right hand corner look cool. Sniping in first person mode is also interesting, and a bit more challenging than a traditional video game scope perspective.
The second little touch that I LOVE is the interface of the computers in the game. The computers act like computers, with a GUI with mouse control. In addition to this, there is one particular computer that has a great easter egg.
In one of the earlier levels there is a cut scene where John Vattic kills a security guard. The player is supposed to use the computer to find a map and information on where he should go. However, there is also an icon showing an chat program. If the player clicks on that chat program, the game pulls up an authentic looking chat with the security guard's girlfriend. The girlfriend freaks out since you won't talk back to her, and it's hillarious :lol
So, what did others think of Second Sight? Or does anyone else have some little details in other games that they enjoy?
