Yes it's really sad seeing people throwing their money at brink when it looks like Prejudice is the far superior multilayer fps.
Zerokku said:Decided to pick this up on a whim tonight (PC). Any tips for a newbie? Also, how long is the campaign as I'm planning on pushing through that real quick before moving on to the multiplayer.

Stitch said:bought this today. played some singleplayer and botmatches and in the botmatch i was shooting at that one guy and he never died. whats up with that? and yes, he was an enemy... he was shooting at me.
Raide said:Real enemy or a VIP?
Stitch said:uh i have no idea. guess i have to play more to learn how the game works :lol

BoobPhysics101 said:Just figured out how to change my class abilities, i.e. tanking etc... and this game is STILL fucking hard. Seems like everyone can kill me almost instantly. It's not so bad in groups, but this game is definitely way harder than Bad Company 2. BC2 lets a really skilled single player take on 2-3 other guys and if he's clever enough he can win.
Try to take on 2-3 guys in this game and you'll get raped from all sides.

TheSmokingManX said:So is there much of a difference between the PC and 360 versions? I'm torn on which one to buy.
AEREC said:Huge difference...360 is jaggy as hell and has major framerate issues...PC version is variable but well optimized...I get a solid 60fps on my GTX 460, but then again the game isnt the best looking game out there.
Warm Machine said:Well 32 players can all stand in the same place and drop fire so that is probaly why the visuals are restricted.
The 360 version is jaggy but the framerate is fine. I do think the game does look pretty nice. Whiteout is a very pretty map with it's icy drifts and Halo 3 style ice shaders. I do have issue with the normal mapping in the game. Certain objects hardly need what they baked on the them and there is lots of strange texture popping for no reason as well.
AEREC said:Sorry the framerate is not fine...I played the trial and during a match with at least 4 enemies on screen the framerate dropped to what felt like the low 20's and high teens.
I guess people have varying degree's of a "fine" framerate though.
Yeah it's a lot of fun. The vertical movement bit you mentioned is interesting, it's something I've noticed not only with the way I play but the reaction others have to it. Even as a Tribes player, it's been so long since a common shooter allowed someone to rocket up into the air instead of just bunny-hop to avoid incoming fire.Epyon MX said:I'm glad they don't track accuracy for this game, because I am terrible. Partly because I'm not used to the game yet with all of the fast and often vertical movement and partly because I haven't played a PC FPS since 2007 (BF1942).
But I think it's a strength to the game that despite my poor K/D ratio, a) I'm still having fun & b) I'm still able to contribute to the team. I've been enjoying the support role a lot. Repairing players and deployables and doing some assist-worthy damage to attackers.
Servers were more popular last night as I've noticed before. A nice improvement. Didn't have any trouble finding a server for any game mode, some with bots, some just players.
Pretty pleased with my purchase.

I highly suggest buying this beauty.
Huh. Interesting. Yeah, it could use all the help it can get. It wasn't moving on the PC like it was on XBLA. But I liked the concept so I might pick this one up.Diablohead said:Games for Windows marketplace has this for $9.99 / £7.99 right now, it's not listed in an offer but maybe their new deal of the week or something once the main page get's changed.

Momo said:Silly question, but are there any boxed retail options for this?
Thanks, steam/live/psn it is thenWarm Machine said:I had thought there was a timing window of 3-6 months before it could become a retail product but I really doubt that is going to happen.

Its not even on the top played xbox live arcade title's list anymore.
Im still having alot of fun with it.
Because so few people play this game. It's a circular argument but I would have bought it if there were more people playing on the PC right now.equil said:I dont get why so few people play this game.
