This is so great man

It means composite sync...I'll keep that in mind. Also that looks nice!!!It's the Genesis 2 cable (Running through my 32X) from retro_console_accessories: it's listed as Raw Sync by her, not sure whether that means composite video or composite sync.
Also... IT LIVES!
I still have to mess around with the settings on the TV, but the image looks phenomenal! And using 720p on a 1080p set (Instead of 768) means the scan lines look even better.
HC + beer? my man, you are livin' the life tonight.
Now I'm like 2 Bleach games away from every Treasure release...
so you own crap like dragon drive and u want to shit on collectors? mixed signals.
i will one day legit own all the Make My Music Video discs and will still poop on the unsavory elements of collectors
Alright, now I'm confused about Hard Corps. Looking it up, it seems that the Majesco version was a cardboard box release, and those carts have "Printed in USA" at the bottom of the label. My plastic boxed copy, on the other hand, has "Classics" underneath the Konami logo on the upper-left of the box art, suggesting it's a re-released version, but it has none of the other traits of the Majesco release.
you hurt my heart.....
Arrow Flash had some really cool art
Forgotten Worlds just arrived!
I now I have no games in the mail. :'[ I broke the streak! I've had at least one game on its way since at all times since I got my Genesis.
So try this on for size... Forgotten Worlds will load and it plays the first part of the first cutscene but them it goes straight to the game over screen and restarts itself....

And I really need to do that Mega Sound mod or whatever it's called, on my MD2. It's like someone has stuffed the bass speaker with cloth, it's terrible.
Don't bother with the PAL or NTSC US release get the JPN version, it a much better game
Yeah! Me and my buddy figured this out after polishing off a bottle of whiskey. Forgotten worlds is hilarious as heck.If you are using a Sega Genesis six button controller when that happens, press and hold the MODE button before turning on Forgotten Worlds.
Yeah, US Hard Corps is the way to go.
The one hit deaths are pretty frustrating. It's just archaic. It penalizes you with a death AND by taking away an upgrade. It's just too much for my frail and modern sensibilities.Agreed. It's a really fair and deterministic game, so I don't see why people feel the need for a life meter.

For most games that require you to hold down Mode when you start the game, this is all you need to do... but with Forgotten Worlds, if you're using a controller extension cable with a 6-button controller... well, don't; I, at least, cannot get the game to work. To play it I must either use a 3-button controller with extension cable, or plug the 6-button controller directly into the system and hold down Mode, in order to get it to work. So annoying! If you are using a Sega Genesis six button controller when that happens, press and hold the MODE button before turning on Forgotten Worlds.

I mean, the game is great. But it IS frustrating.
Is there a resource where I can see all the sprites in the game? The animation and detail on display is an actual real life marvel. It really seems 3D. I let out a whoop of excitement on the second stage when the little aircraft thing pivots directions and rotates slightly just to give that impression of depth. I've never been so wowed by a retro game before. Just the level of craftsmanship is so far and above the titles I've been playing.. It just works damnit.

Contra Hard Corpse
I heard somewhere that the game was made Treasure developpers. Am I imagining this?

It certainly appears very inspired by Treasure games. It's like initially Konami were on cruise control only putting in the bare minimum of effort for their Genesis support. Then they saw what their former staff at Treasure were doing and went "Holy shit! We can't let ourselves get one-upped by these guys!"
I was looking at the kisekai plates for the new 3DS and I realized I'm a big enough sucker to buy a Mega Drive themed plate should Sega ever release one.
After you die like a million times maybe.=pThe western release is way, way more satisfying to beat than the Japanese release.

At least, at the bare minimum, they needed to leave in the infinite continues and the cheat codes. Limiting continues to only five and also disabling all cheats, while also reducing your health from three hits to one, was going way too far. It's an amazing game, easily Konami's best Genesis cartridge game, but it's way too hard!Honestly, I have a hard time believing that Hard Corps was originally designed around having a health meter.
I prefer wired controllers to wireless, generally, though...Time to buy some "Remote Arcade" controllers.

I really don't think it's that bad. I'm not too much of a shoot 'em up or even run-and-gun guy, but I've beaten the game with every ending as every character. Like someone said earlier, it's all about getting that slide down.
I'm interested in this Castlevania bloodlines everyones talking about... real truth: I've never played a castlevania game ever.
Incidentally, said guy with the whip (John Morris) plays more like traditional Castlevania than the guy with the spear (Eric Lecarde).
You never know but the PSOne version is rather common (at least compared to the scd version)So you guys think its even worth attempting to trade lunar eternal blue ps1 for sega cd version?
