I beat Aladdin today. Fuck the carpet escape and fuck jafar.

Quality title though.

Gonna give earth worm Jim a legit shot and maybe shinobi 3 as well tonight

I played Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Tournament Fighters on the Genesis for the 1st time...despite the harsh difficulty I actually made it pretty far. Might be able to do a youtube playthrough of it.

I've only played the NES version of TMNTTF. It's a real novelty. One of the few officially released fighting games on NES that I can think of.
Never played that one, seems cool to have a fighting game on NES. Shame it's so expensive though. The SNES one is probably the best one overall, and the Genesis one is just too hard even on the default setting, yet you need to beat it on the hardest setting to get the best ending!

Hmmm... Fist of the North Star... let's see if the uncensored blood, violence, and exploding body parts livens this game up from the US version (which I liked) called Last Battle.

Ship to Shore is releasing Rocket Knight Adventures in 2017 as well. I hope Bloodlines and Hard Corps follow suit.

Great time for Genesis VGM fans. I'm just a little perplexed why no one has picked up Revenge of Shinobi yet.
My bet: Data Discs made it sound like as of a month or two ago, there'd be two or three releases before the end of the year, and they could be related. So I think we'll see SoR3 *and* RoS get announced at the same time.

I'd probably skip SoR3 as I have no nostalgia for it (or any SoR game, never played it back in the day) but RoS was totally my jam.

I finally beat TMNT Tournament Fighters on the hardest difficulty setting...this game is no joke, in fact the final boss has massive SNK boss syndrome and there's no Shredder in the game oddly enough.

This calls for a youtube playthrough on it!!!

Do it!

I was always disappointed that the SNES version got the weaker roster.

In fact TMNT: TF might be the only fighting game to have three versions that are radically(haha) different from each other.

April's stage theme is one of my favorite Konami Genesis track. Some vastly under appreciated music in that

Aside from the roster and the music, is MD Tournament Fighter actually solid, as a fighting game? I remember it was bashed on Italian magazines, back in the days, because a) it didn't look as lush as the Super Famicom version and b) apparently it wasn't that hot as a game either. But yeah, your recent posts made me curious, I checked some YT videos and... Yeah, doesn't seem to play that bad at all?

did that hold up for you? i played the shit out of the demo in the day, nothing past that
It maps to WASD+Mouse pretty well, though there are some remaining issues with the control scheme assuming everyone's playing it tank-style (eg: it assumes you're using forward/backward/turn left/right keys for the opening skydives and level-closing tunnel segments, and WASD uses strafe left/right instead of turn left/right, so you have to move a hand over to the turning keys in order to move horizontally there; also assumes similar for sniping, so trying to move forward/backward will instead adjust your aim, because as it turns out you can't move while sniping).

But beyond those issues, yeah, it's great. dgVoodoo2 even lets me run it at a higher resolution.

Yeah you should try it, it's a hard game though.

Anybody been playing some Earthworm Jim?
It's really good!

This is my first time playing Earthworm Jim since renting it back in the day. I am really, really bad. It does have level passwords so I'll play through it one way or another.
