Japan and pronouns don't get along well, so the Japanese language has a LOT of alternatives to using them. The usual approach is just... not to use anything, and to have the subject or object of the sentence implied through context only because PRONOUNS ARE FOR PIGDOGS.
But sometimes, especially in anime and games (and ESPECIALLY in anime and games with dialogue that's intended to be kind of cutesy), you'll hear people substituting NOUNS for pronouns. Just like, sayin' their own name instead of "I" or "me" because SCREW YOU, PRONOUNS. You ain't wanted here.
I don't know if that's specifically the case here or not, as I'm not sure what parts of the dialogue you're referring to (I don't know the script to this game quite as well as others, as my role in the localization process was mostly just touch-up), but I wouldn't be at all surprised if that were it.
