PS4 PS4 PS4!
Seems arbitrary. The PC version is available for pre-order with a high probability of a pre-load option, just hasn't gone live yet.
Why though? Is there some kind of benefit to the PS4 version I am not aware of?
I would say buy it on the system you will enjoy the most. Have a beefy rig and want to downsample at 120 FPS? PC. Have a weak computer and prefer to play on the couch? PS4. Want forwards compatibility and any control type? PC.
I would imagine running this game at 1440p or 4K wouldn't be difficult.

I'm in Europe. If I buy the digital version on the Sept 30 from the Xbone US store, will I be able to play it?
The last-gen versions will have reduced features and a lesser version of the Nemesis system, so there is no need to worry about the negatives of a "cross-gen" title here
Exclusive content?Idk, I'm just looking for something bigger play on my PS4 these days.
The reason i asked is because i want to think i have a pretty beefy PC but i dont know the specs yet. And if it chugs a little bit on pc, i am sure the ps4 version will be silky smooth.
So what are all the pre order exclusive or editions of this game? I saw something about a Ranger(outfit? class?) pre order bonus at the end of the story trailer, is that it? If I just pre order at Toys R Us(have a promo) am I set?

Fair point, I tend to find such content derivative, but that is a subjective opinion on my part.

The Ranger skin is included with all pre-orders

PS4 has some kind of special edition.

It's like I stumbled in an alexandros thread, masterful
Honestly, I was replying to him initially with zero thought behind it. Just felt like typing.
PC Specs:
IGN Link
Also, if you have a PC that can run it, the B/S/T thread has some amazing deals (Less than $30 for the game)
anyone else watching the ign feed...I cannot freakin wait

I guess it depends on what those recommended specs get you. Everything maxed, 1080p, some aa, solid 60fps? That's not so bad.I7 3770? 670? Lol
PC requirements have gotten out of control. I wish there were some way to standardize the system as these are complete bullshit.

Also the combat looked much better than I expected, it's super fluent with tons of different take down animations and contextual stuff.
I doubt they will be an issue for considering this game is cross platform.
Sometimes you will have to turn down the ridiculous amounts of AA or AO from maximum. Some developers include ridiculous settings to keep the high-end users happy.

Steam store page actually says a 660 for recommended specs instead of the 670 they have listed. Not sure if specs are still in flux at this point but not too awful for recommended specs. Hopefully it will at least run better than an Ubisoft game.I7 3770? 670? Lol

Is it press x for awesome similar to Assassin's Creed? Or does it have some depth?

That's more in line with what to expect from a cross-gen title. A 670 as recommended would make sense for heavy hitters such as Ryse, Batman Arkham Knight or The Witcher 3.
I would say its more like Batman, X is kind of the dodge/jump over enemies batman kind of thing and triangle is counter similiar to how batman does it.
First I'm seeing of this game really - a couple of questions.
1. The map they're showing in this live demo - is that just one zone available or is that the whole playing area? It looks pretty big but it's tough to judge from the map alone.
2. In that last fight he was fighting like 5 or 6 named dudes but it looked kind of.. easy? Like AC type counter and attacks - is that just the difficulty they're playing on?
3. That menu where you see all the dudes and their relationships to one another - is the "objective" to kill everyone on that screen?
Sorry if those are basic questions, as I said, haven't seen much of it before.
Any info about download size on PS4?

Does this only take place in Mordor or do you get to go to other parts of Middle Earth as well?
1. IIRC, there are 3 different zones, but they're showing us the first only;
2. Sure thing the enemies are dumbed down for these demos. And they confirmed there are no difficulties (as in Easy-Normal-Hard) in the game.
3. Its purpose is to illustrate the hierarchy of Mordor's armies, and plan power struggles or treasons or whatever we want to do to build our army.
.
With regards to 3 - so this manipulation is a means to an end? There's also an overarching story of which this is just a part?
Yeah, without spoiling too much, let's just say that your goal is to build an army by bending Sauron's to your will and thus bring the fight to him. This is where the Nemesis system comes into play, but of course it's also used to create a more living environment with enemies who remember you and are angry at/afraid of you if they've already made your not so pleasant acquaintance. All of this is mixed with procedurally generated foes, each with his own strengths and weaknesses. I suggest you take a look at some footage, E3 had some good ones, as they're basically spoiler free. The last 2 or 3 trailers, well avoid them if you don't want any story detail.
Sure, I always recommend to wait until a game is out so you can make an informed purchase.
.
the map doesnt seem that big is there more to it or is that it? First time I am paying attention to this game and it looks great, watching a lot of video about it now, but it seems like it may get dry fast and the map seems and little undersized dont you think?
