Shahid: Dozens of games coming to Vita, DOZENS

Just recently bought a Vita and I know Kojima will be dropping bombs sooner or later.

Whatever happened to "big not indie and not a port" game he was teasing? Still nothing?

If they're also on PS3 or PS4 than I have no interest in playing them on Vita. Vita has good games, a lot of them are also on PS3, I'd rather play em on PS3.
I'm the other way around, my Vita gets way more play. I was just watching the missus play Fallout: New Vegas and thinking how incredible it'd be to have something like that on Vita.

More PS3 ports would be perfectly fine with me.

Edit: Yeah, what SmokeyDave said

Oh yes. Some of that transfarring goodness. hehe
i think he claimed all future titles would be transfarring enabled between ps3 and Vita. Im just confused as to what can be done when no one wants to buy the system and no one wants to take risks on it either.

As much as I love indie games, I hope none of these "dozens" are indie titles

Wouldn't mind remakes/ports/sequels of

1) Viewtiful Joe
2) No More Heroes
3) Ace Combat (either 4 or 5)
4) Gravity Rush 2: Electric Boogaloo
5) another GTA stories title
6) Okami
7) Valkyria chronicles
etc... etc...

Nice to hear this. I loved a lot of Vita games, some of them exclusive, some of them ports or multiplatform. Some of them indie, some of them AAA. I don't care if the game is great and increases its library.

Shahid seems to be a nice guy with good taste, so looking forward to these games. BTW still waiting for this big 3rd party game he teased.

Hopefully this will make the vita boom so it gets more sales. It need its grace from Square Enix with an exclusive game

As long as its not some spin off.

EDIT: No More Heroes series Vita game would be flipping nuts. Shadows of the Damned style game would be nice too.

After playing Revelations and Mirrors of Fate on my sons 3DS I believe we deserve so much better when it comes to console like experience. To each their own I guess.

As long as you're aware that you are in the minority, not the majority and that as long as that's all the system is getting, support will eventually dry up.

Vita users will stand proud on E3...

Vita detesters will look onward in disgust, move the goalpost, and attack our memory card storage issue...

We will look forward to the brighter days, If I fail you men... I will feast on the foulest of crow while Shahid will be chased out of GAF in humiliation...

But If we succeed, Oh joy how proud we will stand...

/lol

Don't fail us Shahid. I believe

This isn't new info...
There's over a dozen announced retail titles, and at least a dozen smaller / indie titles.

As soon as I pick up a dedicated handheld, I'm in a minority. When that handheld is a Vita, I'm a minority within a minority. When I want that Vita to play console ports, I'm a minority within a minority within a minority.

Yet, Sony seems to cater to me. It's mind-boggling. I'm aware that they need some exclusive JRPG or other to draw in the rest, but for now, I'm really happy with what I'm getting. If this ends up being 'more of the same', I'll be as happy as a pig in shit. I could probably think of 100 current gen console games that I'd buy if they were ported to Vita.

Long story short, I'm really happy to hear that more Vita games are in the pipeline. It's likely to be a win/win situation for me, regardless of what these games actually are.

Are Stealth Bastard, Limbo and Hotline Miami out this summer? I would have liked Munch's Oddysee sooner and I'm slightly annoyed that we probably won't get the Zone of The Enders games but the Vita is easily the best handheld I've ever owned. PSP was great but this thing is fantastic. I'm really looking forward to seeing what else is in development. Demos during E3 please!

I hope it's not dozens of ports. Because I'm tired of ports on Vita.

I thought that you don't have a vita yet.

Anyway, Sony's E3 press conference is going to be so packed with so many possible announcements:
- PS3 future plans and possible price drops.
- PSVita plans, possible price cuts and new game announcements.
- Gaikai services plans.
- PS4 plans, prices & release date and more Games!, Games!, Games!

Man, bombs might be dropping every few minutes.

but It could go the other way around also, like Wonderbook bomba xD xD

Mmmmmm portable Fallout NV. Sweet jesus, I'd shell out £200 for that.

Lol dozens would infer at least 24. Probably mostly indie, which I'm fine with. I love my vita. I think this dude exaggerating though.

Id like a sequel to Neverland Card Battles please.

It was a sleeping gem in my PSP game collection that was pretty addictive. Merged card games and SRPG nicely.

Mana was the coolest thing. Your characters would turn tiles into your teams color as they walked across them and that was your mana pool. If opponents walked over one of your tiles it would change to their color. This meant character placement and upkeep was suddenly MUCH more deep.

Cards reflected this too as you could put out frail but fast mana factories to run around and capture tiles and deplete enemy mana. Plus you could summon cards next to any of yours on the board so those runners would show up in a base on a suicide run and place a healthy "base" object that takes forever to kill inside your main area and then you summon all your new cards in their face. You could even wall off the board that way and place healing pools in areas you plan to spawn to replenish your crew.

Game was suuuuuuuuuper deep and addictive. Buy it if you own a PSP and here's hoping it sees a sequel. Had it come to PC it would have been a roaring success IMO.

Its likely dead now though as Yukes went under with THQ. I wonder what it'd take to get the rights?

Call me crazy but I am ok with Console ports as long as they're of good games, include all the DLC and are well done. There are tons of great PS2 and PS3 games that I haven't gotten a chance to play.

Great, just what I need more games to spend money on. I already plan to purchase like 12 games for the Vita as it is. Regardless, most of them'll probably be indie properties though. Dude need to quit with that noise before he build some unrealistic expectations.

I asked Gilray about Munch a week or so ago and he said there would be news soon. So hopefully E3 at the latest. Hotline should be soon, it was supposed to be the end of this month but delayed for a short time. Last update was that it was running at 60fps. Stealth, and limbo not sure. Im sure we will start getting information on these soon with E3 almost here.

Muramasa, and Jack are june also I believe.

You've made me smile :-)

Did we ever find out what that last game Shahid was raving about was? I'm excited for the Vita but I'm feeling hyped out. If it didn't have dozens of good Vita games on the way then it might as well have been re-branded as a dedicated PSX/indie machine. Feeling optimistic about the future of the system and am currently idling till E3 before I can really get excited for it.
