The dualsense with its advanced haptics and speaker working together adds a new layer to games. If you play Astro you'll realise it can enhance typical actions that happen on videogames like: walking on different surfaces, using weapons, controlling vehicles, etc along adding environmental effects like rain, wind, and so on.

Reviews/impressions of games traditionally focused on graphics and sounds since this is what the game throws at you, but now that we have an additional way for games to communicate information to the player, should that aspect also be considered? I firmly believe so.

Also: if you own a ps5 and haven't played Astro thinking it's just a throwaway pack-in, you're missing out.

It would be nice to know about, but doubtful it will effect my buying decisions.

Are you really not going to buy a game that looks cool to you due to a sub optimal Haptic situation ?

I like the haptic feedback, but I still feel like it's a really, really cool gimmick. I disabled it within about two minutes of playing CoD. It is too intrusive if it's part of the main mechanic eg. pulling the trigger.

But it's fun in games like Astro.
