Show us your gaming setup: 2011 Edition

Ok I had some extra time and took some pictures. Sorry the house is a mess, the house keeper doesn't come on weekends :P

IMG_20110723_181211.jpg

Main room, that's a Pioneer Elite LED tv, w/ 360 and ps3

IMG_20110723_181240.jpg

Right around the corner is the VRX simulator and the "Kittie Land Love Center" for the F1 and the F2

IMG_20110723_181249.jpg

Inside Kitte Land with the F1 looking at you lol

IMG_20110723_181259.jpg

Next to Kittie Land we have the 50" Sharp w/ a 360 and ps3, it's mostly used for the cameras but it's there for system link games.

IMG_20110723_181309.jpg

VRX Simulator, right next to the Pioneer Elite Kuro Plasma :3, it's hooked up to the VRX so it can do 360, ps3, or PC, and mirror the images on both the tv's if desired.

IMG_20110723_181402.jpg

This is downstairs on the Sony LED which is a Google TV hooked up the the Krell (aka rats nest) Got a PS3 and a 360 here as well as a Wii.

IMG_20110723_181811.jpg

Also right across from it I have a screen that comes down for the projector, I usually watch movies or play 360 on it :3

IMG_20110723_181502.jpg

This is a bad shot because of the light but this is the pool room with the shark tank behind it, and right around the corner we have this:
IMG_20110723_181513.jpg

This is all kinds of emulators on it and runs pretty much any old school game you can think of. Unfortunately it doesn't get used too much because it's in an area of the house we don't really use too often.

IMG_20110723_182040.jpg

Also posting that just because.

Sorry for the bad quality pics, I used my phone, you would think that with all of this nice shit I would use a decent camera to take pictures lol

I think with all of that nice shit you'd have the money for a decent dslr.

Also I find it kind of amusing that you're obviously loaded (the outside of your house looks gorgeous, and lots of expensive things) but the inside is positively threadbare and awkward looking lol.

Nice setups though! I especially want that gamerchair thing

I am sure you have been asked before, but what do you do to afford all this?

Also, is that shark tank effectively a window outside, and that is a mountain range in the background? Hard to tell, but if it is that's awesome, I look forward to having a huge aquarium and terrarium when I am a little older.

Also also, what do you have the cats play stuff contained for? Is it just for cat hair purposes and to keep them away from wires/etc?

Also also also, the giraffe head is really scary.

You're going to get a lot of attention with those pics and they are very cool but I mean no offense with this, man, you're wasting so much potential.

If you spent the 2-3 hours it would take to hide your cabling behind drywall (for wall mounted tvs) or tie them up behind your entertainment consoles, it would look infinitely better. Also maybe re-arrange some things. Your kitty corner is right next to your TV and looks out of place, I bet if you moved it to the corner next to the couch and moved the vxchair in that corner it would look better. Use these everywhere, won't take long:

Maybe buy some better cabinet furniture that hides all your consoles/electronics. Look at something like mine. Then set up IR repeaters with universal remote controllers. Or you can also build your cabinets into the wall and then use cabling from your electronics into the tv all behind drywall. It doesn't take much work to do work like that.

Also use dark/light blocking blinds/curtains behind your projector. If I was you I would get something that was remote control so when I turned on my projector screen (which I assume is remote controlled) the blinds would come down at the same time.

Just some suggestions to take your setup to the next level. I know it's hard to find the time to get to that stuff but it'll be worth it.

Looks like a Bengal cat, would probably tear shit up if it had free roam of the house.

actually have seen very little of the house, there are TONS of memorabilia etc all around it, just wanted to focus on the gaming mostly. Here is what the front door looks like lol

Also I have a few cameras but it's easier for me to just take them on my phone as they're transferred online automatically for me.

I am not lazy just busy :P

also thanks for your comments on the setup

I work in the entertainment industry (movies and music mostly) as well as PR stuff, yes that's a mountain range out there, you're looking over Sherman Oaks, Burbank, Universal City etc.

The cats are in there because they're hybrids so they're pretty much wild, the F2 is half ocelot and the F1 is half serval. They come out to play though

I appreciate the advice but I am at a point where I really don't care lol.

Look at my donald trump hair cut, if I can't control that mop how can I control wires? Eventually I will re-organize everything though :P

also i found jesus at e3 this year

Think of it from this perspective. If you are trying to close the deal on a girl and you bring her to your place, your chances increase when she sees how organized it is and how she can't see your geek/bachelor stuff (consoles, etc) because it's hidden away in cabinets. Think of your close rate unless you're already batting 100% and in that case, bravo :)

Your collection of pictures at that host is pretty hilarious, especially the album of 42 pictures of who I assume is your girlfriend?

Maybe I should stop going to college for computer engineering and take up entertainment or whatever it is you got into...

haha, no someone uploaded those on that VPS. For the record feel free to sign up for an account on that server and upload whatever you wish (as long as it's legal). I use it just for image hosting :)

I envy the digs regs. But really dude, instead of buying another car (I know you have more than a few) hire an interior decorator to pimp out your place. So much awesome shit screams for organization.

I'll consider it :P

the misses and I are saving to buy our first house and get married so I have been ultra cheap the last year, seeing regs place definitely made me green, my e penis just shrank about 12 inches, bravo sir, bravo

I understand this contributes nothing, but

holy shit, man. Congrats on being rich! Seriously.

I think you were the guy with the Duke avatar and all the cars from the last thread?

I found NeoGaf through this particular thread and more specifically, Reg's old pad. Welcome back dude...I live vicariously through you and gives me inspiration to work even harder.

P.S. Can you throw a couple thousand my way? THanks.

Thanks man, also I decided to go back to school so I am on the east coast most of the year. It's draining me financially though so I cannot send any monies :(

Ah... so much money. So little taste.

Get a good interior designer man. For realzies.

Cables! Cables everywhere!

Nice place, but seriously, with all that stuff i guess that you can afford to wall/tube/cover hide all the cables but you just refuse to.

it's like seeing someone buy a big HDTV and use composite cables... well... not the same, but you get the idea.

Wow Regs! Amazing... what's that big framed picture behind the Hannibal Lecter statue?

I smoke like a quarter pound of weed a month that should explain everything lol

God dammit regs. You're in the music industry right? Record producer or something? I want your job dammit. And aren't you young? Like 23-24. My god, you have the life.

I'll hop on the dick riding.

That shit is amazing, Regs. Getting paid, buying cool shit and smoking pot all day. I can't imagine a better life.

You lucky piece of shit! Goddamn.

why everyone gotta hate :(

I have not one good thing to say about your style, but you know what? If it makes you happy, that's what matters, and who cares what anybody else says. It's your house, not theirs, so they aren't living there anyway.

If I had the money to buy a huge house and deck it out the way I wanted, I'm sure I'd catch hell too for some of the room designs I'd want to do. (I won't even mention what my bedroom would be like.)

regs congrats on your lifestyle. as said before, live it up or someone else will do it for you :)

over here in belgium such riches are not possible for somebody that young, you either have to be a lottery winner or be really high on the corporate ladder.

i myself am bored of my low pay desk job and are taking courses for welding. yes, money is better as a labourer here as long as you are in the right business.
