It truly is. The fact that anyone thought this would be a great idea, especially for the IP, is absolutely dumbfounding. I mean, SH fans have been waiting for a return to the series for several years, and this idea and attempt was the first go again at the IP? It's the absolute worst first impression, lol. Definitely tarnished the IP in the eyes of the majority.

If they would've done this idea for a new IP that wasn't SH (and with some other changes of course) it may not have gotten so much negative attention. But here we are, lol.

I watch it on YouTube and it's absolutely a train wreck. So much cringey moments and this just does not feel like a Japanese Silent Hill game.

The only plus is that I do like the monster designs especially the one known as The Collector. Beyond that it looks awful.

It's sad because the first floor Silent Hill games are classic.

Look at Resident Evil. The new games are nothing short of fantastic and the newest mainline game is probably my favorite one.

it's Konami. The whole Kojima debacle years back revealed how business minded they are now and everyone up top is a businessman, not a creative. The fact that they only milk metal gear and silent hill now outside of pachinko tells you everything you need to know. You shouldn't expect anything of quality from them.

Exactly right Konami is a company utterly bereft of creative talent, and stuffed with executives... which makes them closer to the way western companies are run these days than many of their Japanese counterparts.

Yup yup. Hey guy look at Enderal, a Skyrim total conversion mod that's better than the base Skyrim game and it's free. The developers made this game out of pure love. No money and it's great game.

I'll just say this once but I'll say it again if I ever did but it is a tragedy what happened to Silent Hills. One of the most disappointing cancellations in video game history next to Prey 2.

It sucked because Silent Hills looked like it was going to try some weird new things, judging what Kojima did with PT and his long documented love of just messing with players. Man what I would kill for a risky, daring triple A experience like that these days. Maybe some of those ideas will find their way back into Overdose or DS2.

Oh my guy you're not kidding. I decided to rewatch P.T. on YouTube tonight and it was so legitimately scary. This would have been the scariest Silent Hill game but instead Konami shot themselves in the foot.
