Bloober Team has officially confirmed that its highly anticipated Silent Hill 1 Remake is now in full production. The announcement came during a recent Q&A session with investors, providing long-awaited clarity for fans who have been following the project since Konami first revealed the remake in partnership with the Polish studio.

While no release window or gameplay footage was shared, the update signals that the project has moved beyond the early stages and is being actively developed.

According to Bloober Team's management, the studio currently operates with two internal first-party production teams. One is dedicated entirely to Silent Hill 1 Remake, while the other is working on a separate, undisclosed project. Beyond these in-house efforts, the company is also managing five additional titles through second-party collaborations, resulting in a busy slate of development.

The investor session also touched on Bloober Team's original IP, Cronos: The New Dawn. The game reportedly sold around 200,000 units over its premiere weekend, with PlayStation consoles accounting for the majority of sales and Steam representing roughly 25 percent. Physical sales data is still incomplete.

Looking forward to it. Hope it is not too much of a departure from the original and the wall break, slow realtime lock release, and movable bins from the remake of two are gone completely.

Man... Cronos deserves better than ~200K. Should have doubled that at least. Steam also not representing very well... only 5.2K CCUs. The game came out at a tough time though with tons of other quality releases either out or just around the corner.. so hopefully sales remain consistent for a while.

I'm up for it. I never could get into the original SH1 mostly because it seemed they were trying to do graphics the PSX wasn't capable of. (The fog and pixilation just made it look lousy, not creepy)

They really need to re-envision this to make it work for contemporary audiences. As much as I like the first game, the dialogue was awkward and the narrative pretty hokey. Bloober is gonna test their writing chops with this one.

We knew it's coming when they said they're doing it, but now it basically means that SH3R is a given as well. Man it's so good to be alive to witness Survival Horror renaissance. The genre after SH4 took a noise dive and ended up in coma only to weak up half a decade+ ago.

Silent Hill 1 was incredible back when I've played it, but it was ahead of its time and PS just couldn't properly show it and let us experience it in its full glory. Still, I ended up loving the game for what it was and its in very capable hands now, so I don't have to worry about it at all.

Hopefully they'll remake 4 as well and make it better, cuz it's not a bad game, it's just it needed more time and tweaking to be great and I'm sure Bloober will find a way to fix all of it's issues with Konami also knowing what they did wrong back then.

BLOOBER! KONAMI! For the love of fuck contact Hideaki Sena, make a good deal with him, give him full creative control over the story and revive Parasite Eve ffs!🙏:messenger_hushed:

Cronos is the game with the penis suit. I mean, it is what it is, and I doubt that makes the game a very attractive buy. I know I was sick of looking at the thing.

Awesome. Bloober Team went from being a mediocre developer to a great one. If they keep making great games like Cronos and SH2 Remake I will be there, day 1

My favorite entry. I hope they land this one as well.

If there's one thing I would like them to do, it's to add some references to stuff in the sequel like Sullivan and Claudia. Just some newspaper clippings and journal entries from the church or something.

I really hope they go above and beyond on this remake, as its still in many ways the most ambitious game in the franchise, with all its custom camera-based gimmicks, large bosses etc.

Also I have to wonder how the overall odd-vibe of the original will translate if characters are voiced naturally, not the single sentence clip method that while a product of technical limitations of the time came across as sort of David Lynch inspired.
