I have the 2TB in my PS5 and it is both faster and quieter. Seriously, the fan kicks on far less now. I assume it's because this drive runs cooler than everything else when idle and it sits closer to the fan so it doesn't have to work as hard.

I also use this heatsink which adds venting to the slot for the SSD:
