Daniel Kleinman's previous Bond titles had NO women in them, aside from one shot of Vesper's face on the Queen of Hearts.

I'm sure I heard about two British models who had filmed sequences for the titles.
They did. Wasn't trying to say there'd be NO women (again), just that it may not be a naked-women-fest ala Maurice Bender's 60's/70's/80's Bond titles.
Don't forget that Barbara Broccoli is a feminist.

She may be but she has been producing the Bond films since GoldenEye (I believe she was an associate producer on the Dalton films as well) and there were plenty of naked dancing girls in the Brosnan era.
Naked Adele falling through the sky.
Sure, but you can blame Broccoli for Jinx.

I think Mendes's desire to make a more old-school Bond film will win out here.
Let's be real here: the director holds NO sway over these productions. If Skyfall is old school Bond, its because Broccoli/Wilson want it to be, not Mendes.
He was hired with full understanding of what he wanted to do, though. There have been no stories of drama or issues, right? It can be assumed that he's making the movie he wanted to make.
No, there have been no issues. Just saying that more than any other franchise, Bond is producer controlled. The director is hired to shoot the movie they want, how they want.

So I've been listening to Bond themes a bit to refresh myself.
So I've been listening to Bond themes a bit to refresh myself. This is just reinforcing my belief that for the most part the Roger Moore era represents the low point of almost every element of Bond movies. If it wasn't for the Live and Let Die theme he'd be the absolute worst in EVERY category.
I would agree if it wasn't for the fact that For Your Eyes Only is one of the best films in the series.
I don't agree with a lot of this post, but it does contain Youtube links for most every Bond theme.
Just for anyone else who wants to do the same.![]()

I feel like we should find a way to come up with an official GAF List of the Best Bond themes.
Thread for voting or something?
1/7 though, rich.

Anyone know why the song preview on soundcloud was taken down? I wanted to send a link to someone, and doesn't work. :|
Speaking of classic Barry themes they need to bring back....007.
It's their actual attempt.
I agree, but her voice is totally a match for Bond.Should have been Noel Gallagher
But I approve.
Sounds great, but not as good as SNAAAAKE EATEEERRRR
After the original James Bond theme, I think On Her Majesty's Secret Service assumes second in command on my list. It's so good that I think it should have become a series mainstay, an unofficial second theme akin to Metal Gear Solid's various themes.
...
1. On Her Majesty's Secret Service - John Barry (best fucking thing EVER. Why hasn't it been brought back in a later film!?)

I agree strongly with these sentiments.
Slightly unrelated, but listening to Muse's 2nd Law now. Supremacy is basically their attempt at a Bond theme.
Edit: Apparently their drummer actually said this as well.
