SkyMall files for bankruptcy

Im gonna miss flipping through these things. I think once or twice there was an item I actually wanted and they were both cheaper on amazon.

I'm actually surprised it took this long for them to file for bankruptcy. It's never good when a company goes out of business, but who in the hell was actually buying stuff from SkyMall?

I mean, people still buy stuff from the Home Shopping Channel... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Reading this thread seems like what they should do is keep producing the magazines but don't actually let anybody buy anything. Not sure anybody would actually try anyway.

What will I read when electronics must be turned off now?!

That's the main issue at stake now. What will fill the emptiness? Used to make glib comments about the crap they sold (and their prices) with the GF until I could pop the pad back.

Much better content than the star ridden, faux glamour shit in the airline mags.

Do people buy things out of these? It seemed to me the only reason they exist is for the poor souls who didn't bring a book or an iPad to occupy their time on the flight.

I loved looking at the ridiculous things they would sell that no one would ever buy. A $85k personal submarine that can jump out of the water? why the fuck not

RIP

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ;_;

Reading Skymall got me through take off and landing. Now how will I keep up the tradition?!

Seriously though, thanks to Skymall I knew indoor pet grass patches were a thing, so when my dog was on prednisone for his cancer he had an indoor bathroom. Not that I ordered it from Skymall, because it was like 20% extra.

Skymall - a catalog full of overpriced, useless junk.

Perhaps Skymall can sell itself through its catalog. Fits right in with the rest of the stuff in there.

Man, like others - while I'd never buy any of that crap - it was always fun to kill time with on a plane.

Oh that's a good idea. When my dog gets too old I'll try the same thing.

Thanks SkyMall!
