If it's a retail expansion I would have expected no less than $30. And if it's anything like past expansions (Oblivion and Dragon Age), I hear they are far from your average 5 hour DLC.$20? ouch, too steep for my blood. Maybe on a steam sale or something. This all seems like stuff I could get with appropriate mods first. I'll have the BF3 expansion and my backlog to keep me busy in the meantime.

Was hoping they'd add a new area. The details of this make it sound like it's going to be DLC like the ones in Fallout and Oblivion. This is disappointing, cause they said they wanted to make massive expansion pack sized updates.
It's still a bit tough to get a feel for the size of the DLC. If it's just one focused quest line, adding a new weapon class, a few enemies and a few new dungeons, I agree. I'm hoping there's a bit more to it than that given Bethesda's stated goal of larger expansions and how long it's been since Skyrim shipped. Hopefully we come out of E3 with a better feel for it.

I feel the same way. They sure made it sound like the DLC would be more like Shivering Isles size.
But... this is the first one and hopefully they got multiple groups hard at work over there.
Yeah, having us pay 1600pts for a new quest line, some new features and a couple of visits to the Oblivion realm seems too steep for me. I hope there's some new landmass we can explore.
It's interesting, sure. Disappointed we're not getting something Shivering Isles-sized after waiting so long, but I'll be there day one.
But goddammit Beth, you'd better make sure we get some new land to explore. You painted yourself into a corner when you introduced those Skyrim-specific dragon shouts, paint yourself out again. Have it take place in Akavir or something for all I care, there were dragons there.
"The reason they are there - and I will not say if we are or are not using them in the future - is when we first built the landmass for Skyrim we knew we were going to have these tall mountains,"

20 dollars?
What is being a vampire like in Skyrim?
All I can remember is being able to see better at night and I think I could go invisible for a few seconds. What is being a vampire like in Skyrim?
So I can level up werewolf? I am at 79 and while I saved two points, I would hate to have a tree I don't even have a choice in leveling.
