It's alkaline, dude
Anyway, let's hope we will not wait too much for more reviews.

You guys should clean your houses, that's gross.Xrenity said:Goddamn. The first Zelda I'm not hyped for gets a 10.
Wii's been collecting massive amounts of dust since Mario Galaxy 2 and I don't really have much time for gaming anymore.
But EDGE 10 is kind of a big deal!
I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt and assuming that this is a joke._Alkaline_ said:Who gives a shit.

OoT is the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club of video games. Hugely influential? Check. Stands the test of time? Yep. Overrated? At least a little. Still mind-blowing when you strip away the nostalgia? Absolutely.Rehynn said:I honestly can't imagine it happening... There's something strange about Skyward Sword. I haven't played it yet, most of us haven't, but somehow I feel like I have known both Ghirahim and Zelda for a very long time, as if they have been characters that I was grown with since my childhood; there's just this feeling of intimacy that they radiance, I don't know. (I guess part of Ghriahim is thanks to Burntpork, but I have no explanation for Zelda)Rehynn said:I honestly can't imagine it happening... They (everyone) should have played Xenoblade.Shepard said:You guys should clean your houses, that's gross.

cpp_is_king said:1) Is it playable with buttons and d-pads only?
2) (Maybe a stupid question) Is there any backwards compatibility with Wii-U planned for Wii games? Will you be able to play this and other Wii games on the Wii-U?

1-No
2-Yes. But don't expect anything more than straight emulation(no AA or upscaling).
cpp_is_king said:If the answer to #2 is yes though, how does this work if there is no Wii-mote for the Wii-U?
cpp_is_king said:My Wii has been collecting dust for a long time, and because I hate Wii so much, I honestly haven't even given this game a second look. So a couple questions:
1) Is it playable with buttons and d-pads only? Do I have to shake my controller?
2) (Maybe a stupid question) Is there any backwards compatibility with Wii-U planned for Wii games? Will you be able to play this and other Wii games on the Wii-U?

I agree, I'm just giving it the doubt of the benefit.Cygnus X-1 said:Finishing it on 3DS again (thus refreshing my memory) I can tell you that it is one of the few games I really don't think they're overrated. Obviously excluding technical limits due to the hardware, I cannot see anything that could have been made better. And you?
If 10 minutes of playing Skyward Sword makes you tired, you have serious health problems.cpp_is_king said:Meh, the answer to #1 is a dealbreaker for me. Arm getting tired after 10 minutes of play, like every other Wii game I've ever played, kills any possible enjoyment the game might bring.

Honest question: do you have some kind of muscular disorder or atrophy? I'm asking because I can't imagine a healthy person getting tired after 10 minutes of playing, well, any Wii game.cpp_is_king said:Arm getting tired after 10 minutes of play, like every other Wii game I've ever played

I know very little about this game, it will be surprising and I'm sure I'll have a blast playing it.
The controls are very different from Twilight Princess.SecretMoblin said:Did you get tired playing Twilight Princess?
Because imagine that amount of movement, just with more precise controls. It's not like you'll be required to flail your arms around.

I know, but you could play TP easily without getting "tired". SS won't require any more movement, just more precise movement.Jocchan said:The controls are very different from Twilight Princess.

It's for their own good - Best to rile them up now so they don't violently explode when the PS4 and Xbox 720 have motion controls right out of the box.pulga said:Guys, it's 2011. If people are STILL bitching about getting tired, just let them miss out on the awesomeness.

Your arm shouldn't get tired. The movements should still be pretty basic, and Zelda games have never been combat-heavy, so you'll get a ton of breaks. This isn't Wii Sports, after all.cpp_is_king said:Meh, the answer to #1 is a dealbreaker for me.
