Anyhoo, there won't be a new console Zelda in the ten years that TWW was released, so my point stands.

This will likely be the worst Zelda ever made.
You don't count the first year.

March 2003-2004: 1
2004-2005: 2
2005-2006: 3
2006-2007: 4
2007:2008: 5
2008-2009: 6
2009-2010: 7
2010-2011: 8

EDIT: beaten pretty badly :(

And I assure you, this will be called the worst Zelda of all time by some fans, fully expecting that. Hoping I won't be one of them though.

My innocence is taken, I've been spoiled, the horror!

Anyways I just wanted to say it kind of sucks that America is not getting this game first but whatever, maybe that is standard policy. As far as I am aware we are the strongest Zelda market.

We got New Super Mario Bros Wii like, 2 weeks early. We also got Minish Cap ridiculously early. And let's not even mention Xenoblade (you poor americans).

NOE is best Nintendo nowadays.

I'm expecting it to be as bad as my math skills.

My way is easy:

2011 - 2003 = 8.

Or, more simply:

11 - 3 = 8. Simple maths.

Kirby is sitting on my desk, imported. Muwahaha. And it's absolutely incredibly awesome.

I like to overcomplicate.

My wife and I fight over subway stops (not that we live anywhere near a subway)...

I think I might be a bad husband.

For anything that exists, you can find a handful of people that hate it. It seems that this game is headed for almost universally positive reviews and love from fans. I have a strong feeling that this will be thought of as the best one since Ocarina.

I don't want to sound too annoying but there's images and stuff in this thread that I haven't seen before, and don't really want to see. I know I should just keep away from Skyward Sword threads all together but the review thread should be a safe place.

But that only came out half a year ago.

I haven't watched a single video since the original E3 announcement, and I've seen...maybe 4 screenshots since.

I'm in this thread. It's safe, man.

I just hope Zelda lives up to the incredibly high standard that Xenoblade set. I have never, ever been so effortlessly engrossed into a story as I was with Xenoblade. EVERY single location awed me, every single plot twist shocked me, and every single battle (no matter how significant) thrilled me. It was pure joy playing through it. Nintendo have A LOT to live up to.

But it's Zelda. It'll be awesome.

I told you Caelus! Put that pic in a spoiler-tag for fuckin sake, or just post the link without the image tag.

Same here. I've been on a blackout since E3, and this is the only Zelda SS thread that I visit now, as it has become nearly impossible to avoid spoilers in the other threads, so please, guys, keep anything even remotely spoiler-y out of here.

...And that made me sound like a little schoolgirl. And not in a hot way.

Oh, I don't know about that.

The GOTY at the VGAs are selected by a bunch of mainstream gaming journalists and Skyward Sword was picked for the category. That pretty much guarantees high scores. Don't get your panties in too much of a bunch.

The other nominees are Uncharted 3 (93), Batman (95), Portal 2 (95) and Skyrim (Oblivion got a 94).

you're quite the observant one. Yes, I lost interest in the Wii some time ago. I missed a few games along the way. But with 4 or 5 active gaming platforms, there was simply a process of elimination to be done. Wii was generally eliminated. I think the last game I was playing for it was TvC. Maybe Mad World.

and the last game I was interested in enough to finish was Metroid Prime 3.

well that can't be right, because sin & punishment 2 came out after super mario galaxy 2.
Sin and Punishment 2 is basically the Super Mario Galaxy of rail shooters (in terms of sheer quality and overall faithfulness to its genre roots). It kills me how many Wii owners didn't even bother with it.

I think I've done the same too, but after Skyward Sword I think I'm really gonna go back and start picking up alot of the Wii games I missed. It really has a great library of games, and i'm finding myself a bit sick of mp shooters on 360/PS3.

I get to play this right after I'm done with my med school midterms...

So that means I'll either be using it to distract myself from the fact that I'm failing through my graduate education and that my entire life is screwed due to insurmountable debt or as a form of reward and triumphant relaxation after kicking some ass.

Its EIGHT BUCKS on Amazon today, there's just no excuse

Obviously its ready. Why can't they sell this yet? Heck even the reviewers are getting the bundle edition. I thought reviewers just get the disc of games they review.

Wind Waker also got a 9 from EDGE.

I think SS is the first Zelda game with a 10 from EDGE.

AniHawk said:
didn't they give ocarina of time a 10?
