kinda surprised they didn't score the first mario galaxy a 10/10. even if SMG2 came along and showcased that you really could make a better mario galaxy, the first was so pants-shittingly excellent that i would have thrown a big gold 10+ sitting on a pedestal at it. but that's why gamesTM is great, they have restraint.
