Sly Cooper 2 Worth Picking Up?

After finishing Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal 100%, I was checking around for any after-game secrets and noticed that the Sly Cooper 2 demo could be unlocked. I played the demo, and thought it was ok (Playing as Sly was a lot more entertaining than Murray or that turtle). Anyways, does the demo represent the bulk of the game? The demo was fun, but I can think of more than a few titles were demos are misleading.

Sly 2: Band of Thieves is certainly worth getting!

The Sly 2 demo that is included on the Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal disc should accessible from the get-go and doesn't need to be unlocked. In fact, the manual even tells you how to access it.

This demo is pretty big, and encompasses roughly half of the first portion of the game. I'd say it is fairly representative of the gameplay experience, although the complete game is more polished than the demo, and you'll be able to buy extra moves for your characters that aren't available in the demo.

I enjoyed it enought to beat, which is almost a rarity for me and gaming these day.

I can say the exact same thing for me as well ... great game, as amazingly polished as the first...

The cinemas are freaking awesome, so stylish, so cool. Oh and the gameplay is good too :)

I mainly bought this for the presentation, and I wasn't dissapointed in that end.

I just finished Sly 2 this week. It's very well put together, great visuals and environments, and I think it controls very well. 100% in about 16-18 hours. There are eight chapters of good length.

However, it's very, very easy. Maybe 20% of the missions take more than one attempt, and the "boss" fights are some of the easiest I've ever played in a platformer this gen (well, the last two R&C's might be easier because of overly powerful weapons).

There is a good variety of missions, and nothing felt forced or tedious to me, but I never had sweaty palms, or too much anticipation about anything. The only time you have to really even concentrate is to listen for the clanking bottles - if you want the special moves.

I would rent it - twice (to finish), but I doubt you'll want to play it again after that.

I just finished playing the first one today. Such a fun game, even if it's very easy. Plus the boss fights are great and quite original in some cases. I can't wait to get Sly 2 this weekend. :D

Yes it's worth buying. Classic feeling and too easy but overall fantastic. If you haven't played the original it's worth a good rental but I feel the sequel is the superior product.

I loved every part of it, my only complaint is its a tad on the easy side

Worth picking up, but I prefer the first one over the sequel

Making the game longer doesn't necessarily make it better

I played about 1 hour's worth of Sly 1. After playing Ratchet and Jak (1 and 2 of each), Sly is a bit stale compared to them. What the hell is the frigging Circle button needed for? Every time I need to grab a ledge I have to hit circle? God DAMN! Did they fix that in the new one?

You still have to hit circle to grab anything or do "spy moves."

However, how are you going to get around hitting a button to perform these feats? What if you want to jump near a ledge and *not* grab it? If you don't make it a triggered action, the character will always do it. Should we hit buttons when we *don't* want to grab or land on things?

It's worth playing, but someone please tell me which of the boss fights were good? I thought they all sucked, actually. Weakest part of the game. Clock-la was a joke.

As much as I prefer the first one because it was more platformer-oriented, Sly 2 is definetly worth picking up. Yes, it is a bit easy like other people said, but that doesn't detract from the game at all.

Yes. I was a bit disappointed with the demo, but the full game is amazing.
If this is the same demo that I played before the game was released, then I know exactly what you are talking about. The final version is much better. The characters are much more refined. The combat is cleaned up, and the control is much better.

My friend watching me play was saying the EXACT same thing. Then I came to a point where I could sidle on the wall, so I went up against it, pressed Circle, and Sly jumped toward the pole to climb down. I did this three times before I got as far away as possible before he could actually sidle.
