I am relatively new to the sneaker game, so I have a question. How hard is it going to be to cop the XX9 at launch? I want those Team Orange ones badly.

I want them too! I don't think they will be impossibly hard. Are you going to try online or at retail? If at retail, make sure you go to a Footlocker House of Hoops location or Nike location to increase your odds. I heard they will be getting more pairs than most stores.
In comparison the XX8 last year sold pretty damn well (but not in minutes like most hot online releases) and sold throughout my city (San Diego) throughout the weekend it was released.
I actually got up and went to a store, had no problem getting them. Think it's time I rely less on the Net and more in store.

Thanks for the advice. Most likely I will be getting them online. Not trying to spend the night in a mall parking lot or anything. The closest house of hoops is about 45 mins away.
I'm really hoping to get the Jordan 6 Sport Blue's this weekend. I love the J6s, and the light blue accent is just fucking boss, IMO.
I missed out on the J6 Carmines because I got to the mall too late (6am...mall opens at 9a). So I plan to get there around 4am this time....maybe earlier. dammit.

I'm currently traveling so I missed the Flyknit Roshes. I'm not too upset since the pair I REALLY wanted was the triple black.
Picked up the Blue 6s, Monochrome Prism Flux and Kobe 9 China's today.
Definitely going for the Team Orange XX9 and possibly the Wheat Foams (a homage to the Timberland).

Couldn't help myself and preordered the Asics Gel Lyte III 'glow in the dark' pair off of End. clothing.
Haven't been buying as many shoes lately, but I really want these, if only for the glow in the dark feature lol. Ships in October, so can't wait.

Got caught up with work late last night and this morning, so I missed out on the Ferrari 14s.
Was able to get the 29s.
And there will be no Yeezy 3s. The Yeezy 1 and 2 were Nike shoes so it can't ride the same hype as the Nike Brand marrying with Kanye West.
But Adidas has debuted some interesting designs the past year, so there's a possibility of the shoe making big waves based on the Adidas Flux (primarily the Prisms...which seem to be more readily available than initially), the Wish SL Loop, the Stan Smiths, etc.

I got the Team Orange 29s headed to my house. Got them from the Nike site. I guess I could have just gone in person to Foot Locker, but I'm lazy.

This might be a dumb question about the team orange 29's (considering the name)... is the giant jumpman and 23 actually orange? I can't tell cause in a lot of pics they look red.

Yes, they both are orange. It actually was a suggestion by Russell Westbrook. Looks good in person. Really looks distinctive.
I am now regretting ordering them online instead of going to the store in person. Seems I would have had no problem getting them in person, even though Nike was saying they were "limited". Though there was no reason for these to be limited. This is ushering a new era of Jordan. No way they would limit these. With that said...I need to get my hands on those Bred Jordan Futures.
Well yeah, I'm calling it the Yeezy 3s for now cause they haven't officially announced a name for it. Can't help but call it that after the hype of the first 2 shoes garnered lol. I agree though, it will be nowhere near as hyped as the first 2 Yeezys. Adidas doesn't have the mindshare Nike does within the sneaker community. Even with the signings of NIGO, Pharell and Ye, I highly doubt it will do much. I really really really want to see what the shoe looks like though.

Kanye has a decent following. Just what he wears has created hype (Bred 1s, Infrared 6s, Triple Black Flux, black/White Lunar, etc). And this isn't his first rodeo around collaborating on a shoe (Bape, Louiee, Nike, etc). You're right that Adidas doesn't have the market share of Nike. But those signings could spell a turn of fortune in the lifestyle category.
It's the same reason why UA tried to sign KD.
I REALLY want the WTL. There's only one nearby HoH getting these. Going to try online and pray I'm able to get a pair.

The word around town is these will be a limited release. And I never said they wouldn't sell out or wouldn't have the same hype. The only difference is the lack of Nike swoosh. I think they will easily. The Big Sean X Adidas will be the initial test.

My XX9s came in yesterday. I haven't worn them yet, but as everyone has said they are much lighter than they look. They are even lighter than any of my KD 6s. I really like the look in person. I am going to rock them all weekend on a road trip.

I thought about getting the PharrellXStan Smiths but the $150 price tag was a little high considering the regular Stan Smiths go for $75.
