My original pre-order still has the stupid bogus messaging, still has the console sku name listed incorrectly, still claims to be waiting for a release date and still allegedly ships on Oct 11.
Seriously Amazon, get a guy to go into your CMS, fix that shit and send an email or something.

I am not going to cancel the order, as a previous CS agent told me that despite the bad wording in the status message, that they would ship my unit on the 11th of october

I'm trying to geta straightforward answer as to why this is, and secondly, when I can expect the order to ship. I have yet to receive a satisfactory or logical answer.
Well you guys managed to sell them on the treasure truck, long after pre-orders were made. So the pre-orders were not prioritized. You can imagine how frustrating that is for consumers, but AMazon has still not explained why
And I have only ever had this precise issue with Amazon once before - for a very similar item from the same manufacturer, last year. Both times I ended up in this limbo and never received any communication from Amazon about it
And from reading about it online, it seems amazon has not filled ANY orders except for those made through treasure truck. so it seems you're incorrect in saying, "We're filling orders as quickly as we can on a first-come, first-served basis. " - especially since the treasure truck items arrived a month after the pre-orders were made available.

And that's where the frustration comes from. We haven't gone an actual answer over this past week and a half and instead have been getting nothing but vague throwaways that don't match up with other Amazon reps' answers.I literally want an answer more than I want the unit. In fact I'm giving my unit to a deskmate, if it ever shows up. I can't stand the lack of communication.

That's weird, I just received my Amazon Japan shipment and they just left it on my doorstep (they rang the doorbell first, at least). No signature or anything required, despite the tracking saying that it did.WTF, DHL said no one was home so undelivered. Ugh, should've just did the sig release but that would've been risky.
Looks like I can change it to next Monday which was the original estimate delivery date. I'll def be home to sign for it. Something shady about this.
