Ah, here's the problem.
Paypal: This recipient is currently unable to receive money.
I would not buy it with anything other than paypal.
Wait, what? I thought you had to accept paypal? Where are you seeing that?

I'm at the "commit to buy" page and it still says "Payment: Paypal" I'm afraid to click the commit to buy button. Are you getting that message after you click that?
I really want to buy a copy of earthbound to play through (never played it), but I'm afraid the battery might be dead
No don't click that. It's different now. There was a different screen before.
They are easy to replace, and if you're too afraid to do it yourself, there are places you can send it to to do it.
Too late.
Clicked the commit to buy button to see how it went since I wouldn't mind a $15 Chrono Trigger just to have the box to display. It let me buy it and everything without giving me a warning, but when I go to pay it says he can't receive payments. So, yeah. I removed the links. Maybe he'll get it worked out and maybe I'll get a $15 CT, but I doubt it.
He has some other games that I wouldn't mind getting so no luck with Paypal? Wonder if they suspended his account temporarily or something?

Price is so high, you can make complain in out of feedback.
I'm currently having issues with Paypal myself, so it might not have anything to do with the guy being shady. I can use paypal, I can buy things through it's system, but it won't allow me to put any monies into it. Something about not being able to verify my account, even though I've provided everything they've asked. (Password, social security #, etc.) Now they want a hard copy of a utility bill as further proof. It's weird, but not a big deal as I don't sell on ebay anyway. It's just odd Paypal is putting up as many hoops as they are these days.

This just came in:
Great shape except for the back half of the cartridge is a little faded.
Can anyone tell me the correct order of which levels to play first? I haven't played it in so long I can't remember.

Chill Penguin, easy to beat...then I think dash on over to Spark Mandrill? I know Armored Armadillo's weakness is the spark, but everyone else i'm blank on.
EDIT: Going to have to make a video about Sparkster and Sunsetriders. Just got those in yesterday and man...its insane that neither received more attention. Especially Sparkster, it feels like something you'd see from Treasure (then again early Konami so thats expected).

After it's long journey with USPS across the country twice, my Mega Man X 2 finally arrived today. It's in absolutely perfect shape. I wasn't sure from the picture, I knew it was either dusty or had some small rips, luckily for me it was just dust.
I opened it up just out of curiosity (and a tiny bit because I was so shocked at it's condition I thought maybe it was fake). It has a weird board I've never seen before. Chips are different from other SNES games I've seen also, and it has a cool Capcom branded chip.
Here's the board and then it compared to a couple other games:
Pretty weird and cool looking. For $60, I'm pretty happy with it.
Yeah, X2 (and X3, I believe) have special Capcom chips in them that made some cool visual effects possible. (In X2's case, it allowed for some pretty cool wire frame effects.)
just play storm eagle stage rock out to the music then have the credits play
start with Chill Penguin. You get the dash boots in that stage.

I usually go Chill Penguin (For the Dash Boots) -> Storm Eagle (Storm Tornado's pretty much the best weapon for clearing out enemies in stages) and mix it up from there. Weakness wise, you can go for Spark Mandrill or Flame Mammoth after that.
Chill Penguin -> Spark Mandrill -> Armored Armadillo -> Launch Octopus -> Boomer Kuwanger -> Sting Chameleon -> Storm Eagle
I always go for Storm Eagle after Chill Penguin though.
Thanks guys. I went to Storm Eagle first and got my ass kicked three times in a row so I'll try Chill Penguin first next. Great music in this game too!
BTW isn't there some way to get some sort of fireball attack like from the Street Fighter games??
I was going to ask if I should have picked up a $10 Super Adventure Island.
Yeah. Have to get all the other items first (armor, hearts, energy tanks, all enemy weapons). Then go through Armored Armadillo's stage four times (I think four, maybe five or something). At the end of the stage each time you need to make sure your health is 100% full (including tanks). Right before the boss room you'll ride on a mine cart thing with all these birds flying around, when it gets into the air, speed boost and jump to the right and climb the wall to the top. On your fourth times up there a Dr. Light container thing will appear with the fireball.
Hope that made sense and maybe others could correct anything I have wrong. But, I think that's it.
EDIT: Here's a video of it. My mind was blown by the fact you don't need to finish the stage, just grab the capsule and jump in the whole. I thought you had to completely finish the stage four times. Fucking crazy.
Guess you don't need the full health/tanks either. Just have to have them.

DKC and Super Metroid came in the mail today, DKC is great. However Super Metroid wont even start, how would you guys recommend cleaning it to see if I can get it working before going through the hassle of Ebay's Buyer protection shit? I'm pretty pissed that it isn't working.
I'm thinking of picking this up, can anyone tell if its a Sony Wega or not?

This finally arrived in the mail today. Phase 1 and 2 of operation "Acquire DKC trilogy" complete.
Just get a q-tip and put a little bit of window cleaner on it. If you don't have q-tips, use a napkin folded up. Clean the contacts on the game, and when you're done, use a clean q-tip or napkin to wipe off any extra grit and/or fluids. Let it sit a good ten minutes then try it out.DKC and Super Metroid came in the mail today, DKC is great. Given the price differential between SNES and most Super Famicom games, I'm thinking about picking up some SF versions of games I want to play, plus some that never came over here.
"Modding" an SNES to play Super Famicom games is an easy removal of some plastic, right? Is it pretty much idiot proof? What tools do I need?
Also, has anyone played the Super Famicom Fire Emblem games? I'm thinking about getting those. I know absolutely zero Japanese, and actually have never played a Japanese game. Will I be lost or could I find guides or something that can translate stuff for me?
Other games I'm thinking about (including some of the SF Rockman games) probably don't require much reading - just would need to figure out the menus.
