Not sure if this was already asked/answered but can we set a different border for each game?

--use-decorative-frame /var/lib/hakchi/rootfs/usr/share/backgrounds/[border]/
Conversion to NTSC isn't necessary for Japanese games since it's already running at 60 hz, correct?
I'm also curious about this since it was the game I wanted to add most.
some background music was just straight up missing Secret of Evermore. Or is it just me?
Somethings up, this thing is telling me Final Fantasy 3 is 2P and Killer Instinct is 1-player.
Guess I need to fix this all manually.

On top of that the Select + Down isn't working. Is this something I need to set?
But Final Fantasy IV, V, VI (and IX) are two-player.
gnadenlos said:Create a file "p8173_ownmusic" with
overmount /usr/share/ui/snes-usa/resources/sounds/hvc/bgm_home.wav
overmount /usr/share/ui/snes-usa/resources/sounds/hvc/bgm_boot.wav
Copy that file to /var/lib/hakchi/rootfs/etc/preinit.d
Copy your new background music or silent file as "bgm_home.wav" to /var/lib/hakchi/rootfs/usr/share/ui/snes-usa/resources/sounds/hvc
Copy your new boot/reset music or silent file as "bgm_boot.wav" to /var/lib/hakchi/rootfs/usr/share/ui/snes-usa/resources/sounds/hvc
(you have to create part of the second path)
For European devices change snes-usa to snes-eur.
Anyone have a good box art resource?
On the subject of box art. If anyone is looking for high res box art to then shrink down for the usage on their SNES classics.
Check out https://games.alphacoders.com/
Most of the SNES box arts are 2100x1551 here.
Trust me to get stuck at the first hurdle lol
Trying to install hakchi, my laptop is having none of it. Windows 10 asked me to download NET Framework 3.5 SP1 to install hakchi but after accepting I got the following message
"Component .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 has failed to install with the following error message:
"A failure occurred attempting to install .NET Framework 3.5 SP1."
The following components failed to install:
- .NET Framework 3.5 SP1"
Any Windows 10 connoisseurs?
I'm having a little problem, and apologies if someone had asked this before. This thread moves fast.
I'm on a mac running OSX El Capitan using VirtualBox with Windows 10. I have my Super Famicon Mini connected through USB, and Windows is able to detect it. I ran Hakchi. It was able to dump the original kernel, and started doing the flash custom kernal task.
Towards the end of the flashing, the Mini resets, and boots up as normal. It starts playing on the TV, and the flashing comes back as "successfully" complete.
I added a game on hakchi and clicked "synchronize" on the bottom, but it's unable to connect to the Mini. Also, using FTP comes back with a 500 Mini offine, error.
Could you give me some direction on what I should do?
Edit:
I tried turning it off and back on a few times, but I'm still unable to synch. I did flash the custom kernel a second time to try and catch something at the end of the process. Though, during the process it complained about a checksum not matching.
For the Great Circus Mystery, it says "set 0x180011 to 0x15" to get it working. Anyone know what the hell that means and how to do it? I've been trying to find a guide and hex edit it but i have no idea what to do.
I haven't modded mine yet and probably won't get the chance to for a while but when I do I may have a go at messing around with some of the arcade style overlays that are already available for other formats.
We definitely need a better TV border than than the branded Nintendo version.
This game?
Yeah, I get a C7 error with my rom and "set 0x180011 to 0x15" is what it says on the database to make it work
Is there a guide on how to install retroarch on the snes classic to get non working roms running?
Should just be:
Make sure that you are using hakchi2 version 2.20 or newer.
Download the retroarch_with_cores.zip.
Drag-and-drop it on hakchi2 window.
Press "OK" button and follow instructions.

If you haven't done much of this yet, read the OP first so you have an idea of how everything works. You need to overmount the file /usr/bin/clover-canoe-shvc. Make a copy of it onto your computer, then make a text file named something like p0202_filter with two lines--
and a blank line underneath. Put the file you created in /var/lib/hakchi/rootfs/etc/preinit.d/Code:overmount /usr/bin/clover-canoe-shvc
Now, edit your copy of clover-canoe-shvc based on how you want your filters to behave. There are three relevant lines here.
Code:keep-aspect-ratio) options="$options -filter 1 -magfilter X" ;; //4:3 mode pixel-perfect) options="$options -filter 1 --pixel-perfect" ;; crt-filter) options="$options -filter 2 -magfilter X" ;;
-magfilter is what controls the display filter. Set it to 3 to disable the bilinear filter, or set it to 2 to enable the horizontal-only linear filter.
-filter controls the scanline filter. You can turn it on by setting it to 2, for example if you want to use scanlines in pixel perfect mode as well.
After you set it up how you like, copy that file to /var/lib/hakchi/rootfs/usr/bin/.

That's awesome. Can Retroarch on the SNES run genesis and nes as well?
Update your version of hakchi, it works fine now without having to hex edit anything.
So I'm using all SFC boxart, because it is the greatest boxart in the history of the industry, and the US/PAL stuff is generally lame and the actual art is only part of the box.
Only issue is the handful of great SNES games that never had a SFC release. Managed to find a good fan made one for Zombies Ate My Neigbours(one of the best games of the gen). Unfortunately that angle seems to be the only one the person posted, so I had to mess around editing the perspective to get something usable. Not perfect, but nothing that'll show up when it's resized to a thumbnail. Here it is if anyone else is doing SFC-only art and needs one for this:
Next is to find something for MMPR:The Fighting Game. :/
Can we assume that hakchi will be available for Mac sometime in the future?
anyone else gets a ''USB device not recognized'' when they plug the snes usb to their comp?
When i press the ''install driver'' button on hackchi it says ''nes mini not found''
Ohhhh this is awesome! Can confirm Famicon Detective Club Part II does work~! I'm using the translated rom by Demiforce.
