The amount of times Xbox live and PSN goes down will vary from person to person. So technically a fact for you won't be a fact for some one else.

He should totally switch and then we would have as much high profile whining about PSN as he's doing about XBL. IME, XBL this gen isn't nearly as stable as last, but it is doing more even if that's not meant to excuse it given that it is a paid service just as much as Sony's subscription MP is. IME,
PSN has been more unstable and had more downtime than XBL in the last two years easily. This gen just sucks in so many ways compared to last...

+1, although I don't know why the 360 servers are starting to do much more maintenances, I've noticed it while playing back compat' games on XBO, most of the time I couldn't synchronize my achievements or play online.

I really think that Xbox Live kicked the ever-loving shit out of the PSN during the Xbox 360/PS3 era, but it's pretty much a toss-up at this point. Unfortunately, it's partly because PSN improved and largely because the Xbox Live experience worsened on Xbox One.

That's pretty much it in a nutshell. Scary thing is MS originally wanted us to be online all the time.

Well let me say this.

My son is a XB1 gamer and I own a PS4, rebellious like most teenagers.

He has been home about 5 weeks on winter break, both of us using the home network.

3 times he has bitched about online issues with his XB1, while I have had just that one 6 hour emergency maintenance thing. On top of that, I have a lunch PS4 and he has a 2 year old Xb1. His XB1 drive doesn't read discs many times and is on the way to dying.

SO the FACT is PS4 is more reliable as hardware and on a more reliable network.

No one try to tell me my personal experience is wrong or that their different one is right.

Come into the light Snoop, my experience is the real truth, believe only me!

Oh, and I almost forgot. My PS4 has never compromised my credit cards or money. My son lost his wallet, XB1 owners end up loosing their money!

I have both ps4 and xb1, day one editions. I couldn't care less about the companies, I only care about good games. And if one system can outperform the other (resolution and frame rate) then I'm going with it. I want the best experience. It's my money, after all.

That said, I have purchased 23 ps4 games and 3 xb1 games (<-all console exclusive)

I fired my xb1 up the other day and had a one hour update (shitty Internet) and found out my xbox gold wasn't renewed (I've had it running for like 7 years consecutive from x360) and I probably won't renew it. I've been playing the hell out of South Park TSOT though. Just sucks backwards compatibility is the only way I fire this bad boy up now :(

Titanfall was the only game I could really test their servers with. The servers were great, the game, not so much.

I'm not loyal to any brand, but I would love to actually use my xb1 Bill gates, wtf? I'm still waiting on that dx11 update

OT: Personally I think XBL goes down more but when PSN goes down, it is for a longer duration. Thankfully, it's usually while i'm at work.

I have both systems, launch models.

Xbox One deleted all of my TV channels once and I had to scan them back in.

PS4 ejects discs randomly, my controllers analogue sticks are all torn and the cloud save feature filled up after a month. It also took me 12 hours to download the day one patch for Bloodborne.

If it wasn't for Bloodborne and the inevitable P5 I would have sold my PS4 off by now. Sony's hardware quality has really gone to shit.

So yeah, YMMV.

Yo it'd be crazy if this is actually some super-stealthy hint at Parappa PS4. Can't put it past Snoop; he can put Illuminati symbols in his rap songs, stealth-repping a new Parappa can't be too difficult.
