So apparently the super cheesy Buck Rogers series is on DVD now...

How can you say no to such a team up?

That episode is *BRILLIANCE*. Also great are the shitcan special effects and the fact that nearly every female character instantly has the HOTS for Buck upon meeting him. Hilarious. I didn't remember that Mel Blanc does the voice for Twikki till I watched the first episode in the set. Friggin' awesome.

I had the Buck Rogers board game. The one that played out sort of like RISK.

I had the TSR RPG (which is very different from the TV series naturally) and the SSI video game.

I think the one I am talking about is the TSR one. I remember a TSR logo. You basically chose your character pawn, then established bases on sectioned off planets.

There was a Buck Rogers RPG on the Genesis that I remember being pretty damn good. Scared the fuck out of me too because IIRC, the first major area was on this derelict ship where something really freaky happened and one "survivor" walked through a wall and the ship was infested with all these mutant plants and animals.

I've been following it on eBay when I see one go for a price I'm comfortable with I'm snapping it up quicktime. I use to love that series... Pamela Hensley was hot.

Erin Gray was beyond hot in that show...man.

A local channel shows the original movie a couple times a year...it's an absolute scream. Thankfully they included that in the box set, for those who haven't seen it.

Heh. As a kid, used to play some Robotron at the local restaurant, then make sure to head home to watch Buck Rogers on TV. Hence the GA screen name...

They can be pretty hard to watch now though, I think I saw an episode on Sci-Fi a few months back and saw Hawk with his feather toupee.... :lol

The series will end up in my collection sooner or later, on some format, no rush though. And yes, Erin Gray and Pamela Hensley with those skimpy half-dresses will be a major reason why.

Edit: Actually, there was another female character I was thinking of with those dresses, can't remember her name though, maybe even a one episoder, had circular cut-outs running the whole side of her dress...my young eyes loved it. Three major reasons, then.
