Yes and it's less stocked.
whoa, that's awesome... you ordered today right?
Enjoy man, congrats.Yeah, ordered on Amazon.es today.
Came out to $328 USD, not bad.
Arrival date has changed to March 13th. So next week I should be playing the Switch!
Cant wait to dig into Zelda, beem avoiding spoilers like the plague.
Enjoy man, congrats.
Thanks! Super hyped for Zelda, and here I said I was going to wait till December.
Its weird. The amazon.es listing price is 319, but it went down to 267 when the Switch was in my cart.
Anyone know why?
Okay, so my Switch from Amazon.es shipped.
ETA 3/10.
Was expecing it to take much longer!
Now can I buy a power converter at best buy?
Waltzed into Walmart and they had a pro controller just laying on the shelf.
Snatched it up right away
Thing is a masterpiece. Feels so good.
Power converter? Where are you from?
U.S.
Then all you need is a plug adapter, right?
Yes and it's less stocked.
Really dumb that it's furnished in smaller quantities. (It's the superior color scheme, so wtf nintendo.)
Power converter? Where are you from?

My bank declined my Switch purpose and put a hold on my card. I even called and let them know beforehand that the purchase was coming in...
I fixed it, but I dont know how long it will take Amazon.es to reship.
Eta is now 15-18th

is there no SEPA option for Amzon.es?

so ordering from amazon.es and shipping to the US is no big deal?
I can't really read the website but I could probably feel my way through (whenever I translate in Chrome the links aren't clickable anymore for some reason). Or find someone who can read Spanish.
This reminds me, I have a code for a free Switch t-shirt from Amazon.es if anyone wants it (you can add it to your Switch order). Not sure if the code still works or if the t-shirt is still in stock.
Edit: I just tested it, code still works.
The t-shirt https://www.amazon.es/gp/product/B01N6WJC11/
PM me if you want the code.

Yeah I wanna know this as well. Is it the same console as the US console?
yeah it's the same, just has a Type-F plug for european countries. You can buy a cheap adapter for $1-2 to get around that or buy a US AC adapter for $29.
Because these things aren't made with magic or Star Trek replicators. There's real physical and financial limitations involved. Shit sells out and it's not exclusive to Nintendo. Even Apple products sell out and are hard to obtain at launch and they're probably the best in the business when it comes to manufacturing consumer electronics. Hell, I still haven't seen a Hatchimal in a store yet. People need to ground themselves in reality when it comes to products selling out.
No. Read page 22 of this thread.wouldn't a simple adapter also fry their consoles since it doesn't account for the 110 to 230 Volt difference?
so you should keep that in mind, just in case
You don't need a power transformer (i.e. to convert 220v to 110v), you only need a cheap adapter made of plastic and metal just to make the plug fit in your wall/powerstrip sockets.
Like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002TZBW74/?tag=neogaf0e-20
All Switch AC adapters are multi-voltage and work anywhere in the world as long as you can plug them in.
Getting a local AC adapter is more convenient though. I'm in the Middle East and we have same plugs as Europe. I got my Switch from Japan (which uses same plugs as America), so I ordered a Nintendo AC adapter from Amazon.es to use on my Switch in portable mode (so that I don't need to deal with an additional plug adapter), and I'll keep the AC adapter that came with the console connected to the Dock all the time, since it will be out of the way and I won't be moving it doesn't matter. Best of both worlds.
I'm not sure which do you mean by "power adapters"... If it's something like this:
YES![]()
Then yeah, that's what you need. But if you mean a step-down converter that takes 220v and outputs 110v:
NO![]()
NO![]()
I wouldn't recommend it (and Nintendo says don't use it). Because it's not needed and might make the whole thing less efficient and produce more heat and possibly damage the official AC adapter or the Switch.
I believe with all Amazon worldwide, if you have a problem/defect with the product within 30 days of receiving it, you can return it and they will pay for shipping.
Edit: Took a picture of the documentation that came with the AC adapter, and highlighted two lines:

Yes. The only difference between the EU and the US AC adapter is the shape of the plug.
Something I noticed while checking out Bestbuy and Walmart today is that New 3DS is still sold out too. Bestbuy didn't even have 2DS.

I ordered mine on 3/7 evening and it hasn't even shipped yet; it's still marked with a delivery date of 3/13 but I'm dubious at this point. Almost everyone else I've seen who ordered the next day 3/8 got shipping notices within hours for delivery on 3/10. Not exactly the same thing, but I empathize with your frustration...
I ordered one yesterday and it still says preparing shipping with a delivery date of the 14th/15th. Looking at the package tracker I believe it says that it will be sent on March 13th.
Now my Best Buy has an automated message when you call that basically says"We don't know when we'll have the Switch, please don't ask us about it."
Awesome. Just awesome.
Waiting on some sort of Best Buy restock. Seems like the midwest is getting practically nothing.
