So how bad is the Switch stock situation?

Waltzed into Walmart and they had a pro controller just laying on the shelf.

Snatched it up right away


Thing is a masterpiece. Feels so good.
 
Something I noticed while checking out Bestbuy and Walmart today is that New 3DS is still sold out too. Bestbuy didn't even have 2DS.

Yeah, ordered on Amazon.es today.

Came out to $328 USD, not bad.

Arrival date has changed to March 13th. So next week I should be playing the Switch!

Cant wait to dig into Zelda, beem avoiding spoilers like the plague.

Its weird. The amazon.es listing price is 319€, but it went down to 267€ when the Switch was in my cart.

Anyone know why?

The 319 price includes local tax, which is deducted if you ship it internationally.

ETA 3/10.

Was expecing it to take much longer!

Now can I buy a power converter at best buy?
 
Bah, amazon CA has march 13th batch of NEON switches up but they don't ship to the US.. cmon Canada I'm in MI we share a border! For those interested it's for prime members only, you can totally sign up for the 30 day trial though its what I did before I realized I can't have it shipped to me.
 
There seems to have been a pretty big restock today in some European countries.
It's not hard to find one if you really want.
(also a few bundles for 1,2 switch for +10€ have emerged)

My bank declined my Switch purpose and put a hold on my card. I even called and let them know beforehand that the purchase was coming in...

I fixed it, but I dont know how long it will take Amazon.es to reship.

Eta is now 15-18th :(

Here in London online retailers do keep gettting stock, followed by it selling out.

Italy, i checked other 2 retailers(mediaworld and gamestop) and there's really no problem getting a switch, honestly i don't feel like there's a lot of interest, on the bright side i see one boy coming out of the gamestop with a switch.
 
Only thing happening on NowInStock in the US seems to be those crazy prices GameStop bundles.

Everything else is SOL.

I can't really read the website but I could probably feel my way through (whenever I translate in Chrome the links aren't clickable anymore for some reason). Or find someone who can read Spanish.

I doubt it'll be free when it needs to be shipped to my country which is Philippines.

While I want that shirt, I'm sure others would be better with that.

wouldn't a simple adapter also fry their consoles since it doesn't account for the 110 to 230 Volt difference?
so you should keep that in mind, just in case

I think we all realize this, the only exception is that Nintendo has a track record of shitty distribution. It is still very difficult to find a 3DS at retail. I just spent the last 2+ months trying to get one. Many retailers told me they had 0 stock in the entire state. This is for a 5 yr old system outside of a busy shopping season.

I have no confidence in Nintendo's ability to restock the channel any time soon.
 
With my new job I'm out and about working - I saw an independent retailer in one of the towns I work in 30 mins away from me and they have the console in stock.
Must. Resist.

All Switch AC adapters are multi-voltage and work anywhere in the world as long as you can plug them in.

Getting a local AC adapter is more convenient though. I'm in the Middle East and we have same plugs as Europe. I got my Switch from Japan (which uses same plugs as America), so I ordered a Nintendo AC adapter from Amazon.es to use on my Switch in portable mode (so that I don't need to deal with an additional plug adapter), and I'll keep the AC adapter that came with the console connected to the Dock all the time, since it will be out of the way and I won't be moving it doesn't matter. Best of both worlds.

I wouldn't recommend it (and Nintendo says don't use it). Because it's not needed and might make the whole thing less efficient and produce more heat and possibly damage the official AC adapter or the Switch.

It's weird, I was searched for some Zelda Amiibos yesterday and found Best buy, Walmart and GameStop sold out.

Target and Toys r us had plenty of amiibo AND new 3DS XL (the galaxy ones) available.
I've heard people mention the 3DS being sold out but I've come across them here and there.

I ordered mine on 3/7 evening and it hasn't even shipped yet; it's still marked with a delivery date of 3/13 but I'm dubious at this point. Almost everyone else I've seen who ordered the next day 3/8 got shipping notices within hours for delivery on 3/10. Not exactly the same thing, but I empathize with your frustration...
 
I may cave and just snatch one from someone on GAF. I don't imagine I'll score one this weekend without getting up at the butt crack of dawn and waiting for store openings.

I ordered one yesterday and it still says preparing shipping with a delivery date of the 14th/15th. Looking at the package tracker I believe it says that it will be sent on March 13th.
 
If you hunt and peck around town, i find some here and there. It's not like the Nes classic! Lol

Seems like Nintendo had a very successful launch. Extremely high sell through. Much improved over 3DS in February 2011.

same for me (ordered yesterday) and I think it's saying the 13th but it's still preparing for shipment.
