If you had run fast enough yes lolHow was the PS4 launch situation?
If I walked into a Walmart at midnight at launch, could I have bought one?

Dude what's up with the crazy overreaction? Not like preorders were readily available anyways.
Lol chill the fuck out! Its been like 10 days since launch. What exactly did you expect without a preorder
Pre orders sold out day 1 here.
I watched the conference, went to sleep and woke up the next day and preorders were already gone. luckily I have a friend who ordered multiple units and gave me one at cost.
Yesterday I went to several stores looking for a pro controller and every time there were people at the Switch displays taking about the system. Would be wise for Nintendo to not be conservative and replenish stock asap cause there seems to be a lot of interest in the system.
Get one off Kijiji? There are tons in Toronto listed as low as $480 and possibly can be negotiated down further.Everyone I know including me is looking for a Switch and there is nothing anywhere. (Toronto)
There is a lot of cash being missed here by Nintendo no matter what the reason for the understocked situation is.

Ahh ok it sounded like it was more urgent than that lolI'm not a fan of scalpers so I can wait even if it's not expensive mark up. I'm sure I'll easily get one before Mario drops![]()

I'm sorry he ruined your day with his completely normal reaction haha jeezLol chill the fuck out! Its been like 10 days since launch. What exactly did you expect without a preorder
Because sony have flooded the market with 1 million PS4 and they were sold in less than 24h. A million is a huge number for a single country on release date.Yeah I didn't reserve a ps4 and neither did most of my friends but everyone decided to buy one at launch day. I won't say we didn't have some difficulty but nobody I knew after a week didn't have one if they wanted it. As I said in my other post, I think not being able to find any, anywhere is absolutely nuts.
I've never bought a Nintendo product, but I've heard this is the norm for them. I'm just blown away, never since the birth of Amazon have I ever had trouble finding something I wanted via internet or store lol.

Yeah Sony knew how huge the PS4 would be. I don't think Nintendo had a ton of time to gauge interest post reveal. I mean it had to be the shortest time between reveal and release of any console I can ever remember. It's possible production started late.
But I just feel like this is par for the course with Nintendo. Remember the Wii U GameCube controller adapter? Those were being resold at a huge mark up because for some reason Nintendo couldn't keep up productiion on a cheap 20 dollar adapter.
I got a Switch bundle from the gamestop website and returned everything except for the pro controller in-store this week.
Nintendo does this with every console release. The time of giving them the benefit of the doubt is long gone.
So about the GameStop bundles. GameStop says for their return policy on online bundles, if you wish to return something from the bundle, the whole bundle must be returned. So don't go into GameStop and expect them to return individual items. If you get lucky and they do, the person doing the returns does not understand the return policy
Not what I wanted to hear.
I bought the bundle in store, one that was not offered online.
Think that counts too?
Here you can find a Switch everywhere. Only a chain of stores sold out every console (they made Switch + zelda 339). I'm in Portugal.
Yeah, same for those. Every bit of internal GameStop messaging about those bundles has a tagline of the return policy.
Is there a difference between a jpn and NA switch that will make owning a jpn switch in the US a issue?

Could you return them for store credit without a receipt?
People have talked to Nintendo America and they were told that Nintendo America will cover the warranty of European bought Switches.Warranty
no, it was at least weeks maybe months of people calling asking about new shipments. it was pretty dire. How was the PS4 launch situation?

FYI for anyone ordering internationally, my Switch ordered from amazon.es at 12:30AM 3/08 is scheduled for delivery tomorrow 3/13:

The amazon.es order still shows delivery on 3/17, so I'm not sure those dates are to be trusted.
Wal Mart will if they sell it.Gamestop will not take anything without a receipt.

Walmart definitely didn't have any. I got a copy of BoTW though so guess I'll be ready when I can eventually find one....
My local Wal Mart had nine at launch... I was the only one there to buy one at 7am when they opened. The rest sold out by the end of the day.
preeety sure there is a limit to this, as well as they only give you store credit.
Would love to see some kinda documentation of this, I'm so thirsty for a Switch that I'll buy it rnPeople have talked to Nintendo America and they were told that Nintendo America will cover the warranty of European bought Switches.
I ordered one from the Spain Amazon store, can I just buy a US Switch adapter and be good to go?
Trying to figure out how I can use my Amazon store card to buy the switch from the Spain store. That would be perfect if possible.
I do 90% of my shopping locally at walmart,.So it's cash for me.preeety sure there is a limit to this, as well as they only give you store credit.
Does not work or I would have pulled the trigger. It's also no longer in stock there, so don't bother.
So did they return the money back to your card or cash?
