So how bad is the Switch stock situation?

Prime Now isn't supported in my area, unfortunately. I've been searching Target, Best Buy, and Walmart every other day for a week looking for a Pro Controller. Where is Prime Now keeping its stock? A local warehouse?

Yep, Prime Now serves out of warehouses in local locations.

Yeah, GameStop policy is that you need to return everything was bundled you can't return individual parts of the.

*Unless you get someone who doesn't know policy
**Unless your receipt is itemized separately

I will just trade it in then. No harm. I already got my digital codes in my email. Going to redeem them when I get the system.

I would second Arcanum's advice, Prime Now is an excellent option for accessories. I'm in the LA area and was unable to find a Pro Controller anywhere, except Prime Now. Ordered it Friday afternoon, was at my door when I got home.

I didn't even factor tax into my equation above. These scalpers on ebay aren't even making money if they paid $300 + tax and sell it for $380 with free shipping! $20 goes to tax, $50 goes to ebay/paypal, and $10 goes to shipping! What a bunch of shitheads causing scarcity for NO REASON!

If they're top rated seller they get 20% credit in final eBay fee. Also if they bought from Amazon from tax free state or from walmart which for some reason didn't calculate tax on switch preorders when it first opened preorders then they might still make tiny profit.

same here, was trying to find a switch in NYC today to pass the blizzard tomorrow, but it seems there are no Switches for weeks around NYC and no one knows when they're getting more stock, grrr.

A dude at a best buy in the city today returned two gray consoles right in front of me.

The employees converged in a matter of seconds.

I heard at least 5 people try to claim them.

Got another alert for Target, went on and did not see it available. Refreshed and it showed I could buy one. Clicked on it and bam out of stock. Target is either glitching or someone in a warehouse is finding 1 or 2 at a time under a table somewhere...

I am honestly beginning to think there is just some jerk in a Target warehouse pushing the "update inventory" button or whatever..

"Hey Frank, watch this!"... lol.

Sheeeeit, if someone brought me a Switch right now, I'd give them a $7 tip, a handshake, a sticker and maybe throw in some pizza rolls and let them come in and play some 1-2.

not sure how I feel about tipping a delivery person. We pay for the service already and we don't tip UPS/Fedex guys.

First time using prime now and I agree with you. Prime isn't free

Wouldn't mind as much paying $7 tip for a switch if I'm already spending $300+ But this is for a pro controller. Ended up costing $85. Crazy but I'm tired of looking everywhere for one. On Saturday I drove around town and couldn't find one. I guess $7 is worth my time and gas

Are Amazon drivers unionized like UPS drivers are? I honestly don't know.

They're just ordinary ppl who signed up with amazon using their own car to pick up and make deliveries. Ive had my prime order deliver by some teenage kid while what looked to be his father drove the car, Lexus.

There's a gray model showing up for me on NYC prime now, but it wont let me check out
Yeah, I had the same issue a couple days ago. A neon one showed up in an Amazon add here, and I clicked it and it said 2 in stock. But when I tried to buy it it said 0. It was like this for a couple hours showing stock on the front page.

In a hilarious stroke of irony, the Switch went up for sale on Nashville Prime Now while I was at the store buying a power adapter for my Spanish one.

I'm about to just pay 125 for a pro controller. Tired of driving all over and calling every day. Fucking absurd that it's this difficult to find a controller. The console itself I understand but the controller not being available blows my fucking mind.

The joy cons in the grip are that unusable?

I am about drunk enough to pay way too much for a switch on either amazon or Ebay... someone hold me back... I know I can wait a few weeks/month...

Uh order from Amazon Japan. I got mine in like 4 days

Let's be real here. Look at the games for the next few months. Once you finish Zelda it's probably not going to get nearly as much use, so what's the rush?

It's only been out for 10 days. No reason to jump to conclusions about future store situations. If Nintendo comes out and says no more stock for six months, maybe get worried short of that what's the point?

An argument could really be made for waiting until holiday. Hopefully get a nice bundle and have Zelda, Mario and whatever other games interest you all in the queue.

Get someone here to buy you one from Prime Now and ship it.

Keep an eye on Sunday advertisements. If a retailer has it in the advertisement, then 90%+ chance they will have it when they open. A friend that works at Toys R Us said they sold out of the initial launch unit and they had it in an advertisement on a Sunday and they had on average 25-35 units per Store. Usually when a retailer has something "hot" in an advertisement, they usually have a deal with the manufacturer to ensure Stores have some stock to support the advertisement. My local Best Buy also had some on the Sunday after launch because it was in the advertisement.

Just don't waltz in 2 hours after opening or they will be all gone. If you get up early, see it in the advertisement head to the store immediately.
