So how bad is the Switch stock situation?

I don't want to scramble through 60 pages, so sorry to ask, but do we know when there will be another big shipment?

Thanks

HAHAHAHAHA of course I miss amazon again. Because you know, I'm not at a freakin computer 24/7 and when I am available they don't restock.

Was told by multiple employees and sources that Nintendo hasn't shipped them any new shipments since march. They said they should be getting more in June. LA California bte

My local gamestop's still got em but only the neon colored ones only atm. I was thinking of picking one up soon but seeing that new watermelon colored splatoon 2 version coming out I'll probably just wait for that one.

so I went to my local Saturn in Germany and I can safely say, the scarcity is over.

it took 2 months, but it's readily available, took this pic today

Readily available =/= seeing 13 consoles on the shelves in one store.

Stock is still completely sold out around me, literally haven't seen one in the wild so far.

ok, received switch yesterday and the bottom right side of the unit .... clicks. it's hard to describe, but it's like a production issue where the shell is slightly askew or something. it's area between the kickstand and the charging port. when i press on it, the plastic case clicks. anyone have any ..... thoughts on this? i'mma have to return this arent i? ugh. hahaha just my luck.

I finally got my Neon Switch yesterday from Amazon, it should be here by tomorrow along with Mario Kart and a screen protector. What other essential accessories should I get?

If you plan on travelling with it a lot, then a carry case and perhaps a powerbank could be worthwhile.

Amazon UK just dispatched my Neon Switch! Says it'll arrive on June 5, while the Pro Controller and 128 GB Micro SD card I also ordered are arriving a few days earlier. I tried to buy the new Splatoon 2 Joy-Cons and case this morning, but sadly Amazon Japan doesn't send them to Argentina.

I ordered a Switch off Amazon UK on 10th April when they had them available for pre-order and it's getting delivered today.
Looks like we got on the same shipment batch, I ordered mine that day too.

Definitely a carrying case (unless you really don't think your Switch will ever leave the house). And the Pro Controller if you can stomach the cost.

I drove around for 2 hours hitting multiple stores (mostly Targets that claimed to have 1-3 left but would be gone by the time I got to them). What a waste of time. Fuck you Nintendo.

FINE.

I bit the bullet yesterday and ordered a Neon from Amazon. It's in the mail, should be here tomorrow.

For $400?

Managed to snag one off Walmart online last Friday. Should be getting it tomorrow! Once I knew for sure it had been shipped I went ahead and bought the screen protector, case, and pro controller. Went with the grey version of the console since it seems like the neon tends to sell out faster online. Plan on getting those Splatoon joy-cons so I'm not too bothered by the grey.

If you're okay with a bundle, Target still has them available online. Grey + Zelda + MK8 + Pro Controller + Case for $500. If you have a Red Card, it's a great deal.

I mean, I hate bundles, but I was planning to get all of that stuff anyway. (Except the case, that case looks dumb).

I'm gonna hold off as long as I can, but having had multiple chances to get one recently online, I can say the temptation is definitely growing.

Will wait for E3 to see what kind of support we can expect. FE Switch needs to look good, and I've still got my fingers crossed for a new Metroid (Prime?) game.

Definitely don't want to buy a Switch early and miss out on a hardware revision before the real games even release.

I think Amazon had Switches available for Prime members for a little while yesterday.

it was a tuesday morning when I took the pic so maybe I went to the store at a time when they had just gotten new units.

I'll check tomorrow or Saturday and see if they've sold them :)

it does seem suspicious to see so many units in a store and then read stories like yours.

Only problem is I already own Zelda and Mario Kart on Wii U lol. I want to rebuy Mario Kart though.

I've passed up the grey console twice trying to hold out for the neon one, and now I'm starting to wonder if that was foolish.

Also: screw Gamestop and their bundles.

I ordered a greyone from Amazon UK one week ago. It was written that it would be available on May 25 but I've just received an email telling me that they will dispatch it tomorrow instead.
It's still written May 25 on the store

Got one from Toys R Us today. Barely got it, a scalping couple in front of me wanted to get the last two and the nice manager told them only one per customer :)

You have no Saturn or Media Markt nearby? Based on their Ebay listings, most of their stores have ample supply.

It's a joke. I'm not even going to bother checking another Gamestop for a Switch.

Do we know if quoted poster lives in Germany?

So why do people not just get the grey one and then an extra set of colored Joy Cons?
You can't buy the joycons separately. The pair bundle and the ones that come with the console are inverted.

e: Basically you can buy a pair and then you get 2 sets of neon controllers but only if you buy the Neon console.

I can't believe more people aren't jumping at Gamestop's fantastic bundles. Do people not want a Switch bundled with 4 copies of Has Been Heroes, a Mario Kart wheel, the Zelda season pass, and a 16GB memory card all together for the low low price of 549.99?

I'm starting to feel the Gamestop guy told me bullshit on the Texas warehouse 1 hour away with the switch bundles in Stock they'd ship to my house.

But I guess I can get angry with it when it's after the date I would have received the Gamestop.com shipment.

That's amazing he shut that down, normally they cater to the couple's and treat them as individual customers. How do you know they were scalpers? Were they brazenly bragging about it?

I've made a pact with myself to only jump on buying one of these if I see it in a store. Thankfully the low supply is keeping my wallet happy. :l

I dunno, it was a fairly older couple who spent quite some time paying for their Switch via Visa gift cards that they were opening right then and there, as if they were sent to them via online sales and shit.

No real telltale signs (e.g., bragging about it), but either way I'm happy the manager lady let me have one.
