Rebel Galaxy perhaps.
The gameplay is very different (2D space akin to naval battles), but it scratches a similar itch for me as Privateer did.
Rebel Galaxy perhaps.
The Kickstarter was last year. Game is expected to release on PC/XB1 sometime in 2016These look amazing. Is there a release date yet? Is the KS closed?
Okay thanks. There's a lot of 2016 left. :-(The Kickstarter was last year. Game is expected to release on PC/XB1 sometime in 2016
Yeah, no, that's not remotely same thing for me.The gameplay is very different (2D space akin to naval battles), but it scratches a similar itch for me as Privateer did.
All my hopes rest on it.
If you have a retail place nearby try them in your hands. The feel is important. I've never heard any big complaints about either. For some games having the throttle is great so that's in the TM's favor. I very rarely use base buttons on a joystick. For me I've been trained with either full HOTAS or Joystick/Kayboard since Descent.Any advice on a flight stick? I can't decide between the Thrustmaster TFlight Hotas or the Logitech 3D Pro. I don't have a lot to spend obviously.
Rough planetary RTS I remember. Empire at War can also be quite aggravating.
I still have an entire post/thread saved somewhere about 4X/RPG Strategic/Tactical balance. It's very hard to get right because something with too much depth can be too time consuming over an entire campaign and something too light just feels like a waste of time.
No way they didn't read this thread. RPS is the new Buzzfeed
Doesn't Squadron 42 have a heavy (possibly primary) on-foot FPS component?
Have always been a steady release of cyberpunk but they're usually smaller titles. Hopefully, stuff like Cyberpunk 2077, Satellite Reign, Copper Dreams, etc. are signs of a trend.Hey man, I've dealt with years upon years of fantasy nonsense being the focus point of video games.
It's my time to shine! Gimme dat space!
Or Cyberpunk. A man can dream

Boss Constructor is 50% off till the end of the week. It's pretty fun to see it get updated literally every week, the one crazy developer man is on update 156 as of last week.
Are there any good Android space games?
Preferably non-F2P ones so that there isn't some stupid always-online component and actual production values, and no in-app purchases.
Star control 2 not even at the top 5?
I still think we're missing a really good rpg space game, hopefully the new mass effect will help me outMy phone almost committed suicide whilst opening this thread
I really need to get around to Rebel Galaxy. Just been sitting in my backlog since Christmas. I know I'll love the fuck out of it, but I just keep putting it off.
I've heard great things about Starpoint Gemini 2, which is another one I really need to delve into. I've also heard ignore the first game, but that the new one, currently in Early Access, is good too.
Awesome new Astroneer screenshots
The sequel is in Early Access and looks very promising. Overall though I still can't find a substitute for Privateer / Freelancer, shit is either too complex, too simple or just sucks.Starpoint Gemin 2 is nice, but be warned it is fairly unpolished imho. As in the main campaign and voice acting can be an instant turn off for most... If you can get past that though and just ignore the terribad euro voice actors then it can be nice as something a bit less involved than X3 and a bit more involved than rebel galaxy..
Spelljammer crpg, please. We need more space pirate JRPGs please
I think one Spelljammer game every 25 years seems like a good fit, the market is ready.
