I mean, it's the wire from my car's stereo system, but as my stereo is actually no more is there anyway I can just pump some external sound to the speakers instead of buying a new stereo? Some kind of convertor cable? What would I be looking for exactly? Am I crazy to even think it possible?

I am not good with cars, how did I get here, etc.

Help an ignorant fool. :(

You can probably not get much sound if you just connect your ipod to it, so you need an amplifier. It is probably easier to get a cheap stereo with aux input...

what car? looks like the antenna plug for either FM or AM radio. my IS300 had both

edit: car information is essential if you want help hooking up your ipod. and what do u mean u have no stereo? is there a big hole in the car? easiest solution would be to buy an aftermarket headunit that has an aux-in line. a cheaper solution would be to solder an aux-in straight to your factory harness.

Suzuki Alto.
I have no radio/stereo/whatever. It broke, I took it out to look at it and it was so janked up that I never bothered putting it back in.

That

Just go to an auto shop and pick out a sony/pioneer model for cheap which has a front aux input. Get a wiring loom adapter to go between the stereo and your plug (save you doing each wire), plug the antenna in and bobs yer uncle.
