Speaking of Vedder, whats with the whole Jack Nicholson schtick he's pulling in your avatar?? He's like "Wait 'till they get a load of me.."

Something having to do that (I think) this is their 14th album.

U2 and Linkin Park need to collaborate on a song...

Hello, Hello
(I was confused)
I'm at a place called Vertigo
(Inside of me)
It's everything I wish I didn't know
Except you give me something
I can feel
Feel!
What I thought was never real!
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
I wanna let go of the pain I felt so long.
Somewhere I belong
(Donde esta?)

LeBron loves his girlfriend. There is no other woman in the world he’d rather have. The problem is, Dwyane’s not a woman.
I believe they say 1,2,3..14 cause the guy that produced their first 3 albums has come back for their 14th.

I picked this up today with a target gift card I found lying around the house from a year ago. I also grabbed the limited edition of Franz Ferdinand's album.

The new U2 is pretty good I'd say. There's nothing fantastic but it's good music overall. I think it'll grow on me.

I got it, gave it a quick listen and wasn't that into it, but after 2 or 3 more listenings I like it quite a lot.

It's no Achtung Baby, but the first 6 songs are all great, especially Miracle Drug, City of Blinding Lights and Love & Peace or Else. Better than All That You Can't Leave Behind for sure.

It's a good album. As an album I enjoy listening to it all the way through whereas I only skipped to the "single" tracks on ATYCLB. My standout tracks are Vertigo, Miracle Drug, Sometimes You Can't Make it on your own, City of Blinding Lights, Original of the Species, and One Step Closer.

As mentioned above, it doesn't touch the experimental phase of Achtung/Zooropa, but overall it's solid and is growing on me by the day. Very much on par with ATYCLB. Can't wait to catch them on tour next year!

Oh, and did anyone pick up the limited edition version? The book is pretty neat for fans, very out there but cool. Still need to pop in the DVD.

I really love sometimes you cant make it on your own, great classic style u2 song.

I like Vertigo, Love and Peace Or Else (despite its title), and City of Blinding Lights. The rest is sort of boring.

This new album is simply their best, and it's now my favourite album ever made. This is their first album since Joshua Tree that is listenable the whole way through. Every single song, except for 'A Man and A Women', 'One Step Closer' and 'Yahweh', could be a hit. All the songs blend well together, none seem out of place (like Pop), and these are Bono's best lyrics yet. iTunes says I've played each song around 50 times. So yeah, I like it.

I'm sorry, but you're flat wrong on that one. Check out THESE howlers:

Miracle Drug said:
Freedom has a scent
Like the top of a new born baby's head
Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own said:
Sometimes you can't make it
The best you can do is to fake it
A Man And A Woman said:
True love never can be rent
But only true love can keep beauty innocent
Crumbs From Your Table said:
Then your face caught up with your psychology
With a mouth full of teeth
You ate all your friends
Yahweh said:
This love is like a drop in the ocean
Bono has never been the strongest lyricist, but this new album has some truly awful lines.

May I again remind you about "All That You Can't Leave Behind..."

Fine, you post some lyrics from your favourite rock group, and I'll make fun of it easily. This isn't poetry. He's the best in this genre though.

What, none of you like Fast Cars?

Its where the album's name comes from!

Fast Cars is only on the collectors edition in the U.S. It's not on the regular cd or the limited edition cd, so most people haven't heard it.

My bad, I got the Collector's at Best Buy and just assumed all I was getting was the additional book and DVD and I didn' t realize Fast was exclusive.

Pity too, its really good. :)
