I hated my original name (the ever crappy "Dricas") so I got BishopTL to change it to Bauer Action Hour a couple of GAF iterations ago.

I chose the name because I'm a huge fan of the TV series 24, an hour long, action oriented drama. Kiefer Sutherland is the lead actor and plays "Jack Bauer."

Well "Cimarrons" is what the spainards called my ancestors when they controlled Jamaica a few centuries back. Now we are called 'Maroons'. 200 plus ethnic cool points if you know who the Maroons are in Jamaica.

IIRC, the cimarrons/maroons were originally slaves to the spanish settlers occupying Jamaica when the British attacked. The spaniards were given a chance to surrender Jamaica, and they accepted, but they took all the goods and left the slaves behind to wreak havoc. That group left behind eventually became a fighting force for the spaniards and were a huge thorn in the English occupator's side for nearly a century.

Then I recall reading about the Maroon War which was a looooong affair too (50 years? I'm not so sure about that number), which finally ended in a peace treaty of some sort.

Essentially, they were Jamaica's Freedom Fighters... oh damn here comes EA to cash in... @_@

In any case, it's all kinda fuzzy, and I'm sleepy.

Very good! Actually we had 3 Maroon wars. The English never captured or conquered us completely. We actually remained quasi independant until Jamaica became its own nation in the 1960's. Congratulations on your 200 ethnic cool points. How would you like to spend them? :p

From the manufactured Japanese band Glay, their first album was called Speed Pop. Had some decent songs and they went downhill from there. Stuck since then, a friend even labelled one of his now defunct web comics after it.

It's Hotsuma's sword in the PS2 Shinobi. With my limited abilities, I translated it to "garbage eater", which works pretty well for me.

Mostly, though, I just wanted a nickname I could work a colon into, and this one looks pretty good with it. I hate how it makes me look all japanophile, though.

I'm not a HUGE DBZ lover, I just dig the machismo of the characters radiate....when they're not talking. Trunks is just kinda...cool? Final hope of his future and all that good stuff. Although, in hindsight, Brolli would have been the better choice.

Ah I remember most of them now that you mention them. I would have remembered you too but you don't seem to post much here...

I remember Link had that really cool Triforce gif. And wasn't he the one that had a catchphrase or signature like "Welcome to NN. Check your straight jackets at the door.."

Man that forum rocked. So many memories coming back.

Any of you guys remember what year it was when it first started?

My username came from a couple of different names i have gone by. My first moniker was Blues which was taken from the megaman series because i used to be a huge megaman fan. Then a lot of people started asking me if i was this other guy from some other place so i changed it to Legato Bluesummers (from Trigun) but then i got over the whole anime thing and other people started using the same name, so i took "Leg" from Legato and "Blue" from Blues and added the "s" cause BlueLeg just looked wrong.
