SOCOM 3 ... It's All About the Box!

We are very happy to bring you another exclusive look into the world of SOCOM 3: U.S. Navy SEALs by letting you be the first to check out the cover art for the upcoming release. Looks like the truck could use a good scrub down:

In contrast, here are the first two boxarts to compare:

*yawn* Just as boring as the other two. And yeah, I noticed the different numerals. Apparently, they don't think people can read/understand the Roman Numeral for "3". :lol

Wish this came out yesterday. Some will obviously scoff but at this but even with its numerous rough edges I think SOCOM has been the best team based online experience on console. Yeah, even better than that little game with the oval thing. :) I'll admit Im partial to the more realistic setting and environment in my shooters though.

I really hope Zipper has gotten better at netcode.

Better hit detection and better netcode will make this one of the best online games out there.

SOCOM II is a blast online. I'm positive this one is going to be awesome.

I actually agree with you wholeheartedly even though I almost never play SOCOM anymore. it takes a lot of playtime to get used to lag and the kinda wacky hit detection. I still have no idea how people snipe online. I do like the way the rounds are set up though.

I'm really worried about the vehicles in SOCOM 3...If they're in the multiplayer, the online experience, could be drastically altered.

There's going to have to be an overhaul in how the online game is handled if the vehicles are in. They CANNOT screw this game up, it is my most anticipated online title.

Haven't kept myself informed about this game, but I heard that if you beat the game, you get some camaflage dude for multiplayer. Also, you will be able to customize you guns..... like added a grenade launcher and scope to your gun in exchange for slower movement speed. I think these two will seriously unbalanced the game at the beginning.
