[Lazy vs Crazy]

Local H is going to play a cover at pretty much any given show, and it's pretty much always great.

Last summer, out of nowhere they played Bad Moon Rising and it was amazing.

I'm generally not a big fan of covers, but Nadja (ambient drone metal band, for the uninitiated) recently put out an album with a bunch of them, and it's really fucking good. They cover My Bloody Valentine, Swans, Slayer, Elliott Smith, The Cure, and a few others. The MBV ("Only Shallow") and Slayer ("Dead Skin Mask") covers in particular are totally mind-blowing. John Mayer knows how to cover a song. Quite well, in fact. Don't dismiss him just because he's JM.

It just sounds like they slowed down the song 2x.
