The story is this game's biggest issue though.
How do you feel about the leaks becoming credible?

Ferrari also commented that he incorporated the wing into Ardyn's design thinking about his monster transformation.
I'm not particularly surprised given what we saw at E3.How do you feel about the leaks becoming credible?

Even with all the missing stuff and questions about characters and lore.... the game still did it's job for me. The story is sad and depressing as heck. I'm moreso curious about timeskip moments with interesting characters like Iris, Aranea, Cor, Cid and even Cindy.

It's not perfect. No FF game is tbh. Look at FFV. Simple story with a good job system. I felt FFXV's story was most important to me when it came to the 4 and their journey than the obvious plot holes and omissions.
Gameplay, soundtrack, and post game kinda out weigh their fast story no?
In my opinion, no. The post game in particular bored me quite quickly. Story is the main reason I enjoy this series, hence my disappointment. It's not perfect. No FF game is tbh. Look at FFV. I'll say it again but the story has tremendous potential. Look how big and beautiful the world is. The story suffers because of the way it is told. It isn't that it is hard to understand at all but it leaves you with so many questions at the end because characters don't do much. The supporting cast is horribly done and I can't even remember what anyone in the supporting cast did that was important besides pushing forward the plot for Noctis. That is the game's MAJOR problem. There is no development of these wonderful characters and I'm kind of left here bewildered on how the hell they are going to fix this mess with long term patches. At best it will provide a better understanding of SOME scenes but I don't expect a miracle to happen like getting access to the scrapped parts. I think it is done and dead, honestly. The story is set in stone now. We've all seen the ending and nothing will change much for us when we replay it in a year or so. You know, if we actually got this horribly told story but the sidequests had ACTUAL lore told in them I wouldn't mind the story problem so much. The problem is that there is none of the sort. This game just pushes the plot forward with cheap devices and none of the marketing for Luna was necessary for example.

Sure would be more interesting to explore an ancient ruin to learn more about Ifrit and the plague than go looking for beans and frogs... SMH.

When this game changed directors, the story at least had a final vision despite still being rewritten a couple of times?
The botched story doesn't do the stuff the game gets right any favors. The main reason I play the series is for the story. The post game doesn't come close to make up for the rushed 2nd half of the game.

I NEED to see Hunter Iris. Would be badass.

Ohhh, niiice. Good looks, as usual, breh. Thanks! Can't wait to read them now knowing they're legit.Since this thread got bumped, I thought that there were more details out. I check-searched and the same user (OfLucii) made another thread hours ago.

Because of people believing that this might have the chance to be legit, I will try to sum up what he said. These are the other two threads if anyone wants to catch up: https://boards.fireden.net/v/thread/360061246 http://archive.is/mfcKb Today he talked about Versus, Stella, more cut content and stuff.
There were indoors and outdoors sections, Noctis warped around floating houses around Leviathan and inside he had to fight soldiers. Leviathan had to destroy all the houses and then Noctis proceeded to battle the Leviathan.
Gentiana existed before I entered the team and she was present in the old game, she had medium powers like Noctis and could speak with the female protagonist too. In one of the concepts she had to hurt herself or deprive herself from senses in order to gain powers. I don't know if this was developed. No mention as to if she was still Shiva in the old game but I don't think so since her role does not match.
Ignis story was written like this before the re estructure for the download content happened
The ending section was decided when I joined the team. It was planned for Noctis to wake up and encounter every character once at a time. The open world was note explorable, there were quests that limited your movement in the map. The Lestallum map in which Noctis was supposed to meet Iris and other friend was complete, it was not the full city. The idea was to turn the open world in a dungeon in which the player had to skip from one place to another and piece what was happening as Noctis met the other characters.
Cidney wears like motorcycle suit, it reminded me of Kill Bill, her face didn't change that much. Iris was taller and had a king guard suit.
I remember that and one point, a big ray of light was supposed to appear in the sky, which was the door to the other dimension, the afterlife (which was called versus and that was the meaning of the game title). A bad character (I think it was Ardyn) caused the gate to this dimension to open. The focus of the villains was to kill an angel who lived in the afterlife and took care of the ghosts. The female protagonist could talk to every character in this dimension. In the end the angel helped the characters to return to their world but Noctis was too damaged and he ended sleeping with the ghosts and the female protagonist.
We used the same concept artworks for Gralea from the old game, it was always planned to be filled with demons as far as I know. There were concepts of how the city would have looked like before the demons but there wasn't plans of showing it.
The team thought that part was going to be a twist and would surprise players. It was supposed to be tedious but it was thought that players would like it. Ex team mates made these comments about it.
There was a legitimate concern about feedback on female representation on the game, so Cidney was considered to be problematic. This was supposed to be "fixed" with the dark world design for her and her scenes, but they didn't make the cut.
However, people who are still working on the team have told me that if the download content is well received, they will think about making something special for other characters. I don't know if they have changed the schedule for the download content since I left.
The female protagonist was supposed to appear only to Noctis. She was supposed to be a ghost which visited Noctis from the afterlife. The crystal commanded Noctis to kill her when they were children. In other concepts, I recall her simply disappearing and Noctis returning to his home country without knowing if she was ever found again.
Most of the characters couldn't interact with the female character (which was one of the reasons this character couldn't work with the new narrative for the game and so, it didn't make the cut). Noctis would dream about her and take this hallucinations as reality. She appeared to guide Noctis and lead her to fulfill his duty. She was a special ghost since she died before she could fulfill her mission in life, so the angel helped her come back from the other dimension. The revelation that she had been a ghost for the entire game happened before the gate to the other dimension was opened. This character wasn't in the game when I started my work on it.
The first part of the game was originally (this was still in summer last year) going to feature a children Noctis and Cor walking outside the castle to find Regis getting out of the Regalia. Regis would hold Noctis as Bahamut asked him if he was ready for what was to come. This was a very short introduction, but it didn't make the cut since the team thought it didn't make sense. A portion of the last part of the game was made into the beginning very early this year.
Umbra was a party member in the original Versus game, but he no longer was when I joined the team. I don't recall anything about the dogs being human ever again, but there were concepts for dogs of different fur that transformed into different people, one of the dogs was white (like Pryna) and it turned into a woman.
The angel thing sounds like something akin to Lightning's role on XIII-2
And the "Versus" world sounds also similar to Valhalla.
So maybe they reused concepts from that to make flesh out the sequels or something idk

Ciddney wears like motorcycle suit, it reminded me of Kill Bill, her face didn't change that much.
Aside from the cut World of Ruin stuff, not much is being said that was truly better than what we got. Just the normal development of a game.
I really wonder if we will get more WoR in the 'extended' portions. Its really the only areas were more party members would make sense since everything is already killable with the four as is. Special WoR with level 150 mobs needing 5 players would really work.
I would say 85% but you can not say for sure since there are factors like levels that were almost finished, material that was roughly worked...
Ardyn was supposed to get bigger, with parts of other demons. Big skinless skull, with two wings on his hip. Noctis would only have to fight with one royal weapon and the ring. The fight had multiple sections and after each one, Noctis would use the weapon to harm Ardyn and swap to the next royal arm.
Most important stuff, I left out some things but everything valuable is here I guess
EDIT: Oh snap, I guess I was late lol Well, use my TL;DR version if you just want to brush upon things.
More about Ardyn:
Well, I think they confirmed the angel is a representation of the Oracle (Luna) but then again it also looks similar to the representation of Etro in the mural of Lightning Returns that shows Etro death along with Pulse and Lindzei.Very interesting stuff, of course we'll never know if it's tru or not but interesting none the less.
One thing that popped to me after reading all that was this image:
I think it was first shown in Episode Duscae in 2015 and now it's a mural in the final game, all of it makes sense except for the figure at the top, I mean you have a representation of Noctis and his friends (even with, the past kings of Lucis/Knight of the round, the Astrals and the Daemons. I guess the woman at the top would match with the Angel/Etro thing from the early story, because I really doubt that's supposed to be Luna.Ignis getting blind)
