god, no. especially not with SA2. SA2 somehow manages to be both twitchy AND laggy. coupled with awful bottomless pit level design, that's a recipe for total trash.
And Sonic Heroes took that issue a step further iirc
Bottomless pits aren't an awful idea, it's just the designers have no solid grasp on making them fair and likewise stopping Sonic from rocketing off into them

Playing this for the first time and man I dunno...

First of all I like the art and I hope they keep using this more "cartoony" style. I actually like the new run controls, making Sonic control slower makes platforming much easier than in the "Unleashed" games and It's no problem for me using the trigger when I have to "gotta go fast". Also, I like when the game switches to 2D gameplay but...

... the 3D Sonic X-treme tube-like maps are really annoying to navigate, and the camera doesn't help at all. It also sucks that stupid things can insta-kill you like walls in the running sections. And I don't get understand the purpose of having two attacks other than getting cheap hits having to guess what attack kills certain badnik.

I'm on the 3rd stage and I dunno, sometimes I enjoy it (2D sections) while sometimes I think about getting a refund...

It's all downhill from there. I reckon the desert stage is probably the best in the game.

Yeah it's a shame, I'm more dissapointed the more I play.

There's a lot that I like in this game (art, music, run button, spindash!, more 2D emphasis) but all goes to shit with how messy some levels are. I'm at Sky Road zone 4 and I don't feel like keep going but I will because it seems like I'm almost over.

With Colors and Generations I couldn't wait to finish the game an start hunting red stars. Here? I don't feel like bothering.

If it matters anything, I kinda felt the same at first. Then when I went back to collect the red rings, the game grew on me a lot. Not exactly sure why. Perhaps as I was more daring as I played.

Well I hope it's the case then.

It's weird because I should like the game. I think this game controls better than most other Sonic 3D games (it just needs more aerial control in jumps, they're a tad heavy), it's more platforming oriented both in 2D and 3D sections... but a lot of levels are just a mess.

But well I guess I'll try, It's not like I have anything more to play until Bloodborne's DLC (unless I end up biting on Battlefront).

At this point I think I enjoyed the Shadow "Ow the Edge" game on the PS2 with its awful framerate than this game, the more I play this the more I'm hating it... (at Lava Mountain Zone 2 atm)

Any news on the modding scene ?

By Sonic games standard they should have remade/ported the yoshi and zelda levels already =P

i bought this game at launch but it's only now that i finally try it.

This release run fine on my laptop but i don't understand how something like mapping buttons ( for the gamepad ) is so badly done. ( why are you forcing the button setting for the 360 gamepad ? ) so i need to either "joy to key" my keyboard and face control glitches because something simple like a proper gamepad support is absent from this game.

Where is the language support option ?
Sure i can put the game in whenever language i want in the steam setting menu but i pretty sur you could have japanese voice and english menu in the wii U version. Why is that option absent on the PC port is beyond me.( especially since the files ARE in the release )

This is a barebones port, it's a correct port with barely options for releases ( on either graphic option or sound option ) , even if they are in game now . i can only hope the modding community will find a way to improve this because at this point of time i can't enjoy this release.

Metal Sonic is made playable and can
transform into metal Overlord with his SH theme playing in the background even
Another mod removes the Deadly Six.

Good progress so give it time and we'll see some interesting stuff in coming months.

Oh, I totally forgout about the game. I still have to finish it. Left it after Lava Mountain act 2, had enough with the bullshit 1hitKO bombs.

Talk about a game that starts awesome and goes to shit later :(

I can not get this game to be 1080p. I set the resolution option to 1920x1080 and it looks blurry and pixelated. It seems its stuck at 720p. Anyone else have this issue?

I have a question; my laptop is modern enough to run a few 2D games (Freedom Planet, ect) and I got Sonic Racing Transformed to run on my laptop at sub-20/25FPS (on lowest settings); could I run Lost Word on my laptop?

I really wanted to play this but don't own a Wii U and honestly don't want to spend 10-20+ bucks on a game that won't work on my laptop :(.

Any advice/suggestions would be great and thank you all in advance :D!

Same here, and I'd wager everyone has this issue. From what I can tell the game uses some kind of upscaling combined with borderless full screen. Even the Steam overlay is pixelated with this game.

Why not give it a shot and refund it if it doesn't work well? Though I wouldn't expect much if you have that much trouble with Transformed.

I skipped this before, but for $10, I can do it. If anything, might be fun for the mod support.

I hope the Zelda and Yoshi DLC will get ported by fans, if it hasn't already.

I had to disable DPI scaling and now the game renders at 1080p. Some of the hud and menu assets are still 720p.

That's the first thing I tried, but it didn't seem to have any effect. Unless, there's more to disabling DPI scaling than checking the "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" box under the executable's compatibility tab. What OS are you on if you don't mind my asking?

Sorry, I also had to run it on compatibility Windows 7. I'm on Windows 8.1.
